Well said - I think Sanders could easily be the workhorse by 2020 (especially considering the other RB contracts in PHI)
But this year I think will be a full committee

I'll likely hold unless I can get a 2nd for him (which no one is paying)

Your window to trade him was as soon as the Eagles acquired him.

Now, I think you have to hold, hope he strings together a couple great games.. Then sell.

Hold and hope that Sanders falls on his face or gets injured.

I wouldn't blame you if you just sold him to the Sanders drafter tho. Maybe try and move Howard + 2020 3rd for a 2020 2nd.

Option 4. It was such an obvious sell when he was traded. He was in the last year of his contract and Philly just for him for cheap so that they would have a little security if RB during the draft didn't work out for them.

I'd hold onto him at this point and try selling to whoever gets Sanders or early in the season. Very doubtful he goes anywhere meaningful next year.

Agreed, although even right after the PHI trade, I think the best offer I got was a late 2nd (2.09 I believe) so I held

Obviously it is league dependent to a degree but in leagues where RB's matter and are valued it is wishful thinking he will be there at 5.

In my IDP league where a LB went at 2, Sanders still went 1.4. In my other league he is going 1.2 for sure.

I put the odds on him being there at 5 at about 5 % unless 3 and 4 are stacked at RB and have no WR's.

Might be nothing but does seem suggestive that Howard could have more of a shot getting receiving touches.

PHI in positive game scripts and goal line work, think he can add value, while certainly not an every week play, I suspect he can fill in for bye weeks etc..

Prison Mike,
I'm curious as to how you feel about Howard at this point. Judging by team 3 In Your sig you did grab Sanders. And for me ( as a Sanders owner) I'm thinking about trading for Howard to go alongside of Sanders. Are you happy with owning both or do you wish to trade Howard away?

Anyone else out there think it's a good or bad idea to own both Philly backs?

I always think it is a good idea to hancuff / double down / add insurance on any backfield that you feel is going to have strong production. We saw that last year with Gus Edwards taking over for Alex Collins, Chris Carson/R. Penny, Lindsay/Freeman in Denver and so forth - sometimes the guy you think is going to be the valuable one turns out not to be on the one - but if you've got multiple pieces of that offense you're not as badly affected.

Yep, I did take Sanders at 1.02; then traded away the 1.05 + 2020 1st + Watkins for Michael Thomas
(That's not relevant here, I'm just really happy about it)

I'm happy owning both right now because while Sanders is my favorite RB in this class, I do think he's a bit of a long-term play.
I think he's going to split time with Howard (and possibly others) in 2019 and see his role grow into a potential bellcow/stud in a year or 2

So yes, I would trade for Howard especially considering how cheap he (probably) is. As others said, I think he'll give you a few good games as a bye-week fill in/occasional flex play. Not to mention if Sanders goes down with an injury (he just had a minor injury in camp), Howard has shown the ability to put up solid numbers in this league - even despite his stone hands
