Seattle also thought Penny was more talented than Chubb

True, but Andy Reid has a much better track record with drafting RB's than they do. Probably not the best example for that argument.

It's easy to say, but I don't think KC necessarily drafted CEH because he's the "best RB in the draft." (or maybe they did and I'm an idiot, so disregard)

I think they drafted him because he's the best fit for their offense. He's not a player that you need to give 20-25 carries to be effective. He's a plus in the receiving game, can run the routes that Kareem Hunt and Damien Williams do, and it simply offers them a ton of versatility.

Overall, it seems like KC's strategy is to keep the ball in Mahomes' hands and not worry about a ground and pound type of back who tips off the types of plays you're going to run.

This exactly. There is no true stud RB in this draft, it comes down to fit. Teams would be wise to carefully consider how the rb the draft will integrate into their scheme and fantasy owners should go 4d chess analyzing the REAL scheme fit based on the competency of the organization in question.

CEH is a perfect fit for KC. Let's see how these other guys land but for now he's the 1.01.

From a talent standpoint based on game tape alone, there should have never been any temporary movement based on perceived landing spot. Taylor could have gone to the worst landing spot in the league and he should have still been higher ranked and drafted before CEH. With the starting role for the Colts, it’s a done deal now.

This whole thread was comical.

When it comes to JT, what about Mack? He has at least another year left on his contract.

CEH seems to have a clearer path to impact right away.

I personally was leaning CEH, but now sticking with JT even if it’s a better long term move vs short term.

Does CEH?

If you want to say Mack is going to hold off JT, then you certainly have to give Damien Williams the same consideration in regards to CEH. Draft capital is only 9 picks apart even though 1 is technically a 1st rounder...

Guess we can't discount Mack, but it's ok to ignore Damien Williams. It's likely neither incumbent will be too much trouble for the challenger for a long period of time.
