K: Gay
DEF: Seahawks
2024 Picks: 2.01, 2.04, 2.08, 5.04

Dolphins haven't completely given up on landing Burrow. Trying to land #3 without giving up #5, and then offering a "Godfather package" for #1 (Burrow) centered around #3 and #5. Dolphins have 2 1st round picks next year too, if they can pull off the trade for 3 without giving up either of those picks, they might have a chance at actually pulling this off.

If they end up giving up three 1s and two 2s over next two years to move up to draft Burrow...

Is he REALLY worth it?

If he pans out, yes he's worth it. Just the reality of the QB position.

Burrow will be a relatively cheap big splash signing that will carry their fan base for many years. Perfect for the Bengals owner who is not a big spender. I don’t see them moving off that pick.

If they got 3 and 5 this year, plus 2 1's next year you have to really consider it.

I don't think it happens though.

Yeah, in a scenario where their team doesn't upgrade QB at all this year, they would most likely wind up with a high 1st themselves next year, plus 2 more firsts they should be able to move up and take a 2021 QB. Lawrence could be out of reach, but adding a player like Fields/Lance/Costello (pending how this next season shakes out obviously regarding what college QBs rise to the top) on top of what they have already plus whoever they take this year at 3 and 5... my lord, it could actually be a smart play to take that offer and pass on Burrow.

But he has to do more than just “pan out” in this scenario- he has to be better than Tua by the value of 1.05! That’s a top OT. I like Burrow, but that’s a lot to live up to.

I’d take 1.03 and 1.05 for Burrow even if I didn’t like Tua- at that point you could just sign Cam or Winston and use the picks on an OT and Okudah or Simmons, or trade back and rack up even more value.

Getting 3 and 5 for Burrow would be crazy value.

As Bungles fan, I wouldn't be opposed to 3, 5 and 2 firsts in 21. That is a massive haul.

By "panning out" I mean he goes on to be the no doubt franchise caliber QB many envision him to be. Those guys are worth any price you could pay and more than make up for what you gave up in 2 years of draft picks.

Probably fun to think about but they are locked in on Burrow and have zero interest in moving off that pick.

They have to think Burrow is going to be great and will lead them out of darkness.

If the Bengals got offered 3, 5, and a 2021 first they would almost have to take it. They would still be in the running for the top pick next year and I think Lawrence is a far superior prospect than Burrow. You could shore up your offensive line and have everything set up for the guy you choose the following year.

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't see Burrow as this can't miss franchise superstar a lot of folks do.

I agree that it's worth several firsts to get Burrow. I just don't trust Cincinnati to develop him and build a team around him.

Sorry Bengals fans.
