What does everyone think about Teddy? He is a QB that hasn't thrown more than 14 tds but got paid and is now the starting QB of one of the most talented teams in the league. So we know they are putting their faith in him for a while based on his contract, he looked promising but conservative when starting, and he now has weapons around him like CMC, DJ Moore, Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel.

Where do you guys rank him in QBs? Because he went QB 25 in my start up but I think he could be valued much higher by this time next year.
Does that include Burrow and Tua? I think at least Lawrence and Fields will come in with an earlier ADP than Teddy next year. I think his ceiling is like where Jimmy G is right now.

I do think that he's a perfect fit for Carolina. They have some of the best YAC weapons in football, and he has one of the lowest aDOTs in the league.
That did not include rookies because we drafted rookie picks. Therefore he would have been QB 28 (Tua, Burrow, Herbert)
I mean, look at the guys who drafted ahead of him that you could realistically see him pasing, look at the guys behind him who could pass him, and factor in that it's likely that two rookies will be ahead of him as well.

I think he would need a low end QB1 season to crack QB20 value.

The way his contract is structured, Carolina has an out after the 2021 season with only a $5 million cap hit due to his signing bonus. The big question for dynasty value is Bridgewater's long term outlook. Carolina may have plans to draft a long term solution next year and have Teddy on hand to be the bridge QB. The winning model in the NFL is to have a great QB on a cheap rookie deal. If this is the case, Bridgewater's value would be more in line with older QBs who only have a year or two left in their careers.

I got an offer to Aquire Bridgewater for Rivers and Junu Smith. Smith could be a decent depth piece and maybe I shop him for a better return but with Kelce, Waller, Andrews, Goedert I'm probably set there.

Is this an accept or pass?

I'm luke warm on Teddy overall but agree the weapons and division could be good for fantasy.

Potential shoot outs with Tampa, NO and Atlanta.

I would take Bridgewater there for sure, unless you think Rivers outplays him this season.

I was offered an early second, a handcuff and Teddy for Stafford and everyone here told me it would be a huge loss for me. What is the difference between Stafford and Teddy in a SF?

I don't think we're going to see Bridge come out slinging the rock like Stafford.

If we're talking who would I rather have from a production standpoint + potential longevity? Stafford for me. If Carolina sucks this year, I'd be hard-pressed to believe Bridge gets another shot without having serious competition.

Figured him for a complete Bust when he came into the league as a player that simply couldn't handle the pressure of stepping up in competition.

While I am still not completely sold on him he was impressive last year when called on. I do think he could succeed in that offense. Like him a lot better than I did once upon a time.

Bridgewater is a pretty classic dink and dunk type passer. This bodes well CMC and whoever becomes the lead intermediate slot route runner.

Well Bridgewater survived Day I - good sign so far. The Panthers next pick is 38 but do not think they have had Hurts or Eason or Fromm mocked to them from what I recall ...

QB25 sounds about right. I think he'll be an inconsistent fantasy QB2 and not a long-term answer for CAR.

Having Mahomes and Dak as my starters. I traded Teddy for a late second and two fourth round picks yesterday. I like Teddy and he has good weapons in Carolina, but I see him as a game manager who might have a great game here and there, but overall I think he's average at best.

I'm not sure how well he'll mesh with Brady"s vertical passing game, but his YAC weapons fit his play style perfectly.

Really we don't know much yet. His NFL career thus far has been one of a QB who takes the short pass. If I recall his Louisville career correctly, that wasn't him. He was a shotgun college QB. He was bombing it to Parker often...from my recollection. Maybe that's just because that's the highlights though.
Anyways, maybe he IS a good shotgun QB that isn't afraid to go downfield with it. Maybe his stats to date are a product of being in MN initially (where if you remember, he had HORRIBLE OL play and HAD to get rid of the ball quick, and his downfield weapons one year were Jarius Wright and Charles Johnson. I mean c'mon. Then he got hurt and then went to NO, where it seems like he was asked to simply play it safe and let his team around him support him. He collected a nice win % for them with that plan. He hasn't really been given huge opportunity to boost his downfield passing stats from the MN years of crap situation (well below average OL and well below average WRs). We'll just have to wait and see if he has that shotgun mentality or not. He may have had it once upon a time and it's burned out...or maybe it was never there. Maybe it can be kindled...or re-kindled.

I traded a 2020 1st for him and Lev Bell so I'm quite hopeful he looks like he did as a young promising prospect. it was a risk, but who knows if the guy i picked would even be a hit. The hype on this 2020 class is en fuego, but all of these guys probably aren't going to be studs in the end.
