Started Russ, fournette, Henry, OBJ, Arob, Mike Will, Pettis
Left Stafford, Watkins and Ross on the bench, and all 3 of them would’ve won the game for me 😭. Left Hollywood, AJB, Watkins or Ross on my bench in every league I’m in, it was a tough week.
I hope that gives you some solice lol.
On the bright side you were smart and bought low on Ross in every league.

Put Watkins in for Cooks. So, yeah, Cooks is outscoring him by 10 or so currently.

Mahomes just plain missed him on a few throws (while dropping bombs in a bucket to everyone else). He had 13 targets (15 if you count the two defensive penalties)...have to think he'll put up some big games if that volume continues.

Yeap, this game upped his value even more imo.

His 13 official targets was well above Travis Kelce who came in 2nd on the team with 9.

My personal floor for any WR I start that has WR1/2 upside is 10 points. At that point if you have a start 3 WR league with 1-2 flexes, you're likely to still get use out of the player even if they have a disappointing game. Still frustrating for many I know but just how it goes on a week by week basis.

The targets are why I'm trying to trade Cooks and keep Watkins. Just feels like Watkins finally going to start dominating.

Agree on Sammy coming in dominance.

You might be on to something with Cooks. His production along with rest of the Rams is likely to stabilize once the Rams settle in. However, I think Cooks value suffers a bit more than Kupp or Woods with Gurley merely being a regular RB1 (vs uber top RB1 of last year). Feels like Gurley's starting to settle in to a nice production range on less touches. Still, Goff won't have the long ball open nearly as often as last year when defenses were selling out to stop Todd every game.

Net: maybe the Rams can't float 3 WR1's + 1 RB1 anymore? More like a WR1 (Kupp's 9 targets this week), WR2 (Cooks 4 targets this week), WR3 (Woods 2 targets this week). Which still isn't too bad.

Watkins resigned

With both Robinson and Watkins resigned, this has to be a big hit to Hardman's short term value.

Buying any receiver based on a projected increase in targets with this draft class looming seems like bad process to me. If it wasn’t Watkins it would have been somebody else.

I'm glad someone brought this up, even if it is in a slightly different context, because this contract is puzzling to me. Watkins signed a deal that will basically guarantee him $9m, but it also has incentives that can push it to almost $16m. Most of the targets are pretty obtainable. If he plays 14 games and goes for 65-800-8, he'll earn half of his incentives right there and earn around $12. That's in the range of salaries of such players as DeAndre Hopkins, Adam Thielen, Keenan Allen, and Amari Cooper. He has the best pure QB in the game, and he's not even the #1 guy on his team!

He should have been cut instead of the restructure, imo.

You realize he hasn’t hit 65 receptions in the last 5 years, 800 yards in the last 4 and only scored 8 or more TDs 2 out of 6 years in the league right?

Indy: 6 rec 62 yards
NE: 4 rec 114 yards

Hou: 2 rec 76 yards
Ten: 7 rec 114 yards 1 TD
SF: 5 rec 98 yards

Watkins playoff numbers. He clearly shows up big when it matters.

All about adding an extra dimension and extra weapon for Mahomes.

I get trying to keep the SB winning team together for one more run but man that is a steep price to pay when you have very capable young WRs on the roster. I think he will probably coast most of the season and then step up when needed, like last year.
Just enough to hit his incentives..

He'd have to stay on the field to hit the incentives

Yes, but he missed a couple games due to injury as did Mahomes. I think if both guys stay healthy those numbers are achievable.
