There use to be time in the NFL where if your weakest position was WR, then you had a good team. Sammy Watkins is not a WR that can dominate a game and therefore demand high targets to make him a stud player OR to help a team win games by giving him high volume. He can be very good player at 100 targets or so, but we are talking WR2/3 terroritory, not top 10.

For 2018, would you rather Sammy Watkins or Robby Anderson? That's the conversation Watkins belongs in. If you think he belongs higher than that, than no, the hate has not gone to far.

I've been considering this all season. Glad I'm not the only one. Watkins has clearly been impacted more by situation whereas Cooper has been playing awful all season. Both are talented and it's a very reasonable discussion. I own Watkins and I wouldn't move him for Cooper. I suspect if I owned Cooper I'd feel the same on the opposite side.

the team I own them both was my worst dynasty team and frustrating as hell to manage , what I do know is when posed the same type of ? pre season about hopkins & cooper I failed miserably by strongly endorsing cooper . I guess cooper as we know his qb situation and the fact it appears crabs is headed out of oakland so if not now when? sammy who knows where he ends up ,I was happy he was anywhere but buffalo but even in that high octane Rams offense he was less than thrilling to own.

@AdamSchefter
When free agency opens Wednesday, former Rams’ WR Sammy Watkins intends to sign with the KC Chiefs, source tells ESPN.

I did hear that he was going to the Chiefs but they were speculating (on Clay Travis' show) that he would be the reliable WR2 and Tyreek Hill would remain the "go to WR1."

I've never been that high on Watkins,but as a mahomes owner I guess it gives him one more "weapon" to throw to.

I just bought bought Kelce yesterday. Hopefully Watkins flops like he’s frequently done and leaves Kelce the first option through the air with Hill the deep threat

Really hard to predict how this goes without knowing how good Mahomes is, but I have to imagine his first season as a starter he won't be airing it out constantly. Feels like someone of Hill, Sammy, or Kelce might have a down year.

Deal is being reported as 3 years, 48 million. If that's true, I feel like it is a massive overpay.

I don’t own many shares of Watkins, just never been a huge fan but as a multiple owner of Hunt & Kelce, I wonder how this affects them? I would think it hurts Kelce but Hunt should still be the focal point of the offense, I think/hope.
