I have to wonder if he'd even be willing to sign with another club as a backup? If he wants to continue playing, that's likely where he's at in his career. I guess it's possible he just hangs them up rather than accepting his lot as a team's #2.

I disagree with this unless you think Gardner Minschew is already the starter in Philly. (Which he is not)

You might want to take a closer look at how well Hurts has been passing this preseason, and then compare it to Cam. It's a pretty stark contrast imo.

No plans to retire - guess we'll see if he gets a shot as a backup or a starter depending on how things play out in-season 2021.
