Solid. I like this for Josh Allen

That's a lot to give up in comparison to the Hopkins deal though

Great for Allen. Don’t love it for Diggs.

Buffalo isn't very pass happy, but he should demand the lion share of targets

wow - Diggs value may never recover. Love Josh Allen, but he doesn't seem yet capable of floating Beasley, Brown and Diggs value. Maybe he'll get there some day, but something tells me Beasley's going to keep getting volume, i.e. more boom or bust seasons on tap for mr Diggs.

It just highlights how absurdly bad the Hopkins trade was ... I mean did they even talk to the Bills?

Not great for Diggs, considering the other options that were being floated out there. Allen is good for Fantasy due to his rushing, but he's not a great passer. I think it helps Allen for sure, but not Diggs. I think Minnesota gave him the treatment the Steelers tried to give AB when they tried to trade him to the Bills. Stick him in a place he'll continue to be unhappy in.

It's not really the same situation, because Hopkins is wanting a new deal for top dollar. Different players, too. Diggs is a bit younger and is a much bigger deep threat. Bills probably want a guy that can get down the field more than Hopkins. I think the Bills overpaid, though. The Cowboys got Cooper on a rookie deal for a first. Diggs on a 2nd contract shouldn't cost more than that.

I feel like it is a neutral move for Diggs since it wasn't like MIN liked to pass the ball either, but clearly the Bills is not an exciting landing spot for him.

I don’t know. The package was insane regardless, and I doubt many other teams are paying it. Albright reported that the bills just didn’t like what they saw at 22 with the WR. I’m assuming both Higgins and Shenault let them down a bit (understandably), and they wanted to keep Allen’s development at the forefront of their plans.

Given the Hopkins deal seems like Buffalo should have been able to nab Diggs for nothing more than Frank Gore and a 5th.

And cleared some cap space in the deal. Just means they need to hit on the next WR they draft (actually... just take 2 to make sure you get a good one considering the lack of depth we have).

Also likely means more for Irv and that they are going to run the ball 600 times with Cook/Mattison next year.

Diggs is only a year longer and was a malcontent who forced his way out of Minnesota because among other reason he didn’t like Cousin’s accuracy ... good luck with Allen. But anyway, my point wasn’t about the Bills paid for Diggs, it was that the Texans should have gotten much more for Hopkins if for no other reason than he’s better in the locker room than Diggs. One last thing, the Bills already have a deep threat in Brown, they needed a true #1 WR so the situation is pretty comparable.
