Jonathan Taylor is your 1.01 now.

Re: Jonathan Taylor is your 1.01 now.
I don't think its out of the realm of possibility that the Falcons could take him mid 1st. I think there are better fits for them, but Taylor likely won't last past ~25 range.

That’s one that makes sense to me too. I know they need defense but their best chance of winning and especially for Dan Quinn is to win with offense, I could definitely see them take a guy like J.Taylor and it they don’t, I think another team will trade up. I’ll be surprised if he lasts until pick #20, at the latest.

"Jonathan Taylor is your 1.01 now"?

No freaking way is he the 4th back drafted this year...Lord_Varys wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 6:58 pm I could still see him go after Swift, and maybe CEH and Dobbins, due to their proven ability in the pass game. He may be perceived as a two down back, and what team is out there who wants to spend that high a pick on a (perceived) one dimensional player?
Just playing devils advocate. Taylor is my RB1 but I've seen this argument and don't have a strong rebuttal.

No. I’m saying he’s going to be picked end of round 1. I think Swift goes before him but he goes between 26-32.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 8:17 pmSo you're saying he's a 2nd round pick still? I don't see it. I think he's going first round at this point.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 8:07 pmNot sure if you were responding to my post, but I was referring to the NFL draft & yes, he will be there at the end of the 1st.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 7:30 pm Taylor will not be there at the end of the 1st, lol...

OK. I read it as he'll be there at the end of the first, as in after the first round, he's still on the board.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 10:13 pmNo. I’m saying he’s going to be picked end of round 1. Why you gotta hurt me like that
In fairness I can't remember a "Hakeem is your #1.01 now" thread, but if it happened I wouldn't be surprised
Back to Taylor - I've put Mike Evans on the table for the 1.01 this week. I think that's a trade I'd make, Evans for either Swift or Taylor - even without knowing landing spot. It does feel risky and a bit insane... choo choo rookie fever... but then again, Evans has questions of his own this offseason.

Is there somewhere I could watch him doing his receiving drills? Read he looked good but wouldn’t mind watching it myself

Re: Jonathan Taylor is your 1.01 now.
I remain puzzled why anyone thinks anything has changed. Everyone being sniffy about Taylor a week ago and insisting that the history of Wisconsin backs, too much mileage and a lack of passing game involvement meant he was sure to be third off the board behind Swift and Dobbins already KNEW he was a track star and likely to test out exactly as he did. A theoretical, but likely, 4.4 was irrelevant in the face of Taylor's limitations as a 3 down back, his over-use and the curse of the Badgers. A televised 4.4 on the other hand? Now he is the son of Jor-El and only an idiot would consider Swift above him.
I know we joke about it some, but the post-Combine swoon is remarkable.
In other news, if you go back and watch the National Championship game post-combine, CEH is now much slower, fails to pick up key third downs due to a lack of speed and his diminutive stature and Clemson are your new champs...

Bravo. The only thing that surprised me yesterday was how fast Swift is, and how slow Moss is. Everything else went as expected. Sad fact is most of the public didn't expect it. And, I will say, at 226, even smart people may have only pegged Taylor for a 4.44. Going under 4.4 is like passing some mystical barrier, for whatever reason.Factory of Sadness wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 4:56 am I remain puzzled why anyone thinks anything has changed.
