Love me some Higgins tomild wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 3:09 pmI'm slowly coming to the realisation that getting Mims at 2.10 is probably not going to happen now. Already had him penciled and everything.wickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 2:10 pm Yep. I pick #8 now and think JJ may be my guy there. Mims may be my 2nd round target now.
On the other hand, Tee Higgins could now be a steal thanks to this. He's still a total monster in the redzone with incredible hands. I'll be waiting for the Clemson pro day with much interest.
He's just "Julio" - first name only basis is the highest honorific anyway.

Re: Combine predictions
That sucks. However, his HS numbers should tell enough, since he did them at 202 pounds. I expect him to do his pro day, so we'll find out eventually, but it's a bit of a bummer. Why do it if you're not 100 percent, though? Just disappointed that he waits until the last second to drop out. Did he not know 2 days ago he wasn't 100 percent?

Re: Combine predictions
Right, this doesn't make me doubt him. I'm sure scouts might feel the same so maybe he's smart for doing so. Plus he benched already (I know it's completely different than running) which is strange to me. Did he bulk up to get his bench up and will slim down for pro day to run faster?FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 4:32 pmThat sucks. Yeah I can only assume that he was hoping he'd come good by today, maybe he woke up feeling off and thought the combine would only damage his prospects.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 4:32 pmThat sucks. If I was there and woke up on the wrong side of the bed I'd bail, it only seems to do harm particularly to someone like you said has shown high level athleticism around the same weight a few years ago.

Re: Combine predictions
Finally got around to watching some of the forty runs,
the commentators mentioned CeeDee Lamb looked like he stumbled a bit near the start and I'd agree,
Ruggs looked very smooth and like he wasn't even trying that hard to hit 4.28,
Reagor looked weirdly slow which does not match up to his on field game,
Shenault looks like he starts limping a bit just before the 30,
Jefferson looks like he started slow but damn he moved well for the rest of it, he's my biggest surprise.
I love the combine as its football related and I'm starved but like others have mentioned I don't let any of these scores change my opinion much unless its wildly different than I anticipated like Jefferson may move up for me just a touch.

Taylor as a faster Nick ChubbColdZealDonkeyStrike wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 9:52 am I think Taylor and Shenault are the big risers. Taylor looks like he will test like Nick Chubb with a bit better 40 time. I bet he's the majority's RB1 after the combine.
Shenault looks like a guy that will fill out the combine box sheet. I think he'll come out with a plus grade for size (over 215 lbs.), speed (sub 4.5), vertical (38+"), and 3-cone (sub 7), and becomes the favorite for WR3 over Reagor, Higgins, etc.
2 relatively disappointing WRs from the state of Michigan: Donovan People Jones and Cody White, will come in big and athletic, and will be trendy risers after the draft.
Tua does nothing but talk, but it's enough to guarantee he goes top 3, with a strong chance someone gives up a haul for pick 2 to get him.
Shenault good numbers across the board
DPJ great size and athleticism, leading to sleeper hype
Cody White same
Tua getting hyped without doing anything ♂️
that one's kinda hard to measure.
Anyone else feel like the late workouts had an affect on some of these numbers? The 3-cones in particular were pretty bad, along with a lot of the 40s ran in the late group for WRs.

I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

I was pretty close, JT with a 4.40 and a 36 inch vert. I was a little off with Swift though.Packerland wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 3:07 pm JT will run a 4.40 with a 38 inch vertical and Dobbins will run a 4.52. I also predict Swift will run a 4.53 or so.
