Watch the tape. Zeke hits a gear that Dobbins doesn't have. All of a sudden he accelerates fwd. They may run the same 40, but Zeke does something on the field that Dobbins can't do.

Yeah, I'm not going to argue tape watching vs two players with different builds playing against different teams, with different blocking, etc. I think Dobbins has better lateral movement than Zeke watching tape, but there is no way to quantify it. Besides, not comparing Dobbins vs Zeke for this draft. It's Dobbins vs the rest of the class for the 1.01, that's all that matters. Jacobs was the 1.01 last year, and he didn't have blinding speed. Dobbins is faster than him. Zeke was a top 5 pick, so I'm not arguing he isn't the better prospect, but compared to the rest of this class, I think Dobbins has a legit chance to be the 1.01, based on the criteria I mentioned. I don't think he has blinding speed, but he's certainly fast enough. There are so few times where that long speed matters in the NFL. Dobbins is a really good pure RB, he does everything well.

He doesn’t have to be Zeke to be a great rb. I think he really passes the eye test. He’s really fluid and has solid hands with plus vision. He’s also a willing blocker who won’t be deficient there day 1 which makes him a more complete back then Taylor in some ways. He also has better size then swift (will be reassessed post combine I’m sure).

He’s a B/B+ at everything with A vision. He doesn’t have swifts agility or Taylor’s power but he has a good blend of both.

Dobbins is routinely being mocked ahead of Taylor is NFL circles. My post is about how Dobbins may be a bit more of a 1.01 in a lot of peoples eyes post combine, which I expect him to do well in.

Swift, Dobbins, and Taylor are prospects of similar caliber based on the information we have right now. If you're confidently separating them before the combine and draft, I think you're fooling yourself.

I think Taylor probably has more 'burst" than Dobbins, but I don't see a lack of burst as an issue for Dobbins. Of the games I watched (Nebraska, MSU, UM, PSU Clemson) the only time it looked like he lacked explosiveness was post-injury against Clemson.
Honestly, I think Swift was the guy who was a bit underwhelming of the top 3. He looked better as a Freshman and Sophmore than he did as a Jr. Maybe he was just playing not to get hurt, but Dobbins Jr tape>>> Swift's Jr tape for me.

I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Jeudy?
It's really too early to say for sure, I think all 4 have a legitimate chance at it, and Lamb is probably not quite equal to those 4, but he's not completely out of contention for 1.01 consideration.
Jeudy's been the presumptive 1.01 for most of the season though. Are people really convincing themselves that Swift is a better prospect?

For some. I've always seen it as Taylor/Jeudy/Swift as tier 1 and potential 1.01, and Etienne/Dobbins/Lamb as tier 2 and just behind those first 3. As the season went on those 2 tiers kind of blended in with each other, I don't think Jeudy was ever considered as the absolute #1. No one has ever really been considered that outside of Barkley, and the next closest was probably Fournette who obviously tailed off towards the end.

I still have Taylor as my numero uno, but Dobbins was close behind. I was really hoping he stayed at his mid to late first level he was at early in the college season. He kept creeping and creeping as the season progressed, which I thought had worn off some after his start to college. Not now.

I consider Josh Jacobs currently a top 12 dynasty asset. If any of these RBs come out just as good or better than JJ, I would call it a major win.

I know a lot of people had Swift as the 1.01 going into his junior year. 3 down RB's aren't easy to find. He underwhelmed in his junior year, but a lot of people are still holding him there. I don't think that most who have Swift 1.01 ever jumped him ahead of Jeudy, I think they had him there to begin with.

Dobbins is being thrown around in my leagues as the top skill player as well. Good for me at #3 in my SF.
