J.K. Dobbins 1.01?

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
I had my rookie draft for team 2 yesterday.
I took Dobbins at 1.01
Then I took Taylor at 1.02 and CEH at 1.03 so I guess its not very helpful.

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
Fun fact, but Dobbins was elite against top 25 defenses this year. Dobbins played 43 percent of his games vs Top 25 defenses, while producing 52.4 percent of his yards vs Top 25 defenses. The highest difference of any of the top backs. CEH was in the second tier, and JT, Swift, and Akers in the third.

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
Thank you for sharing. That is definitely interesting. Ive said before that one of the things that really made me a Dobbins fan was that everytime he played a ranked opponent it seemed like he went for 200 yards and 2 TDsKmani6 wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 9:27 pm Fun fact, but Dobbins was elite against top 25 defenses this year. Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
The top 4 RB's this year ( CEH, Dobbins, Swift, Taylor ) all ran behind top 10 college ranked offensive lines.
The Clock is Running and there are no Timeouts
Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
OSU, LSU, Wisconsin, and Georgia will always have good offensive lines because of recruiting. Can’t really fault the individual player (RB) for that. However, it is interesting to see how the RB’s yardage actually splits up. Very different to run behind a top 10 line and only beat up poor defenses vs. consistently show up against the best defensive lines. Dobbins seemed to legitimately get better when he played elite defenses. He always looked dominant. Dobbins also had the toughest schedule vs run defense compared to any of the R1-R3 RB’s in the draft this year.

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
The top college teams have all the best players everywhere, to your point. I don't watch any college but I thought LSU also had a tough schedule with... Texas, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson. Were those teams not as good defensively as OSU's opponents?Kmani6 wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 9:47 pmOSU, LSU, Wisconsin, and Georgia will always have good offensive lines because of recruiting. It’s not like Georgia played a bunch of chumps either. Even Wisconsin had some top teams on their schedule.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 4:41 amThe top college teams have all the best players everywhere, to your point. Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
Yes, but not to the level of LSU in terms of ranking. The Dobbins stat has to do with defensive statistics, which are of course, also influenced by who those defences played.ericanadian wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 8:05 amIt’s not like Georgia played a bunch of chumps either. Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
I have not seen Dobbins go 1.01 much, but he is almost always gone by 1.04 in typical ppr leagues. Maybe 1.05/1.06 if it is a SF league.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..
Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
He made it to 1.10 in one of my 12 team SF leagues
1 Burrow (me)
2 Taylor
3 CEH
4 Akers
5 Jeudy (me)
6 Swift
7 Tua
8 Lamb (me)
9 Reagor (me)
10 I traded pick + Penny for 2.03 and '21 1st while I was OTC
I'm in a major rebuild and focused on QB and WR for now, intentionally want my RBs to be awful at the moment to improve my draft standing for another year or two.
In my 1QB league I have 1.01 and 1.03, currently planning on taking JT 1 and know CEH will go 2, then I'll take Dobbins 3. There's a chance I take CEH 1 though, because there's a chance 1.02 owner takes Swift if CEH is gone, then I could end up with my top 2 RBs with JT falling to 1.03. I rank Dobbins as RB3 in the draft and probably #3 overall among position players.

Dobbins and Penny over 2.03 and 2021 first for me. I still think you lost value there. I think Dobbins will be worth more by next year. Don't you have a taxi squad?bjd5211 wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 10:03 am He made it to 1.10 in one of my 12 team SF leagues

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
Maybe in immediate value, but I'm not playing for this year or even next. Draft capital and longer term assets are what are important to me, now I'm in the drivers seat to land Lawrence, Fields and Ja'marr Chase next year to go along with Burrow, all the WRs I got this year and my TEs Hockenson, Fant and Kmet (it's TE Premium too). I'm glad to be rid of Penny and got Tee Higgins at 2.03 who I value well over Penny and not incredibly far behind Dobbins. And Dobbins wouldn't make me a title contender this year or next, but would probably cause me to finish higher in the standings that I want to. I'll have plenty of time and assets to acquire RBs when it's time to start focusing on trying to win, and I won't waste valuable early years of an RBs career on a team that's not ready to win.
