2020 Offseason Completed Trades

In the first year of our franchise I made it as the # 6 seed in our playoffs but got my butt handed to me by the same teams that killed me in the regular season. So, after 1 year I decided to rebuild my roster as I just wasn't happy with it in the long term, especially after FA and the draft. Just wondering how I did?

I traded Deandre Hopkins for Tua and a 2022 #1.
I traded Drew Brees for Brandon Aiyuk.
I traded my 3rd round pick in 2021 for Dallas Goedert

Agree completely. Honestly, looking at your roster, at what point do you just package Goedert++ for Kittle?

Ha, to be honest... at this point, I don't think the rest of the league will trade with me now. I went from upstart to champion last year, ahead of schedule (basically on the back of Lamar) - I was always targeting 2020 as the year I would really start to smash it. I made trades over the last 2 years to end up with 5 picks in the first 20 in this draft - took Dobbins, Jeudy, Reagor, Ruggs, and Hurts.

So now it's a monster, and C-Mac puts the target on my back pretty squarely. The other superteams will make sure any trade cripples me. Frankly, I'm happy to ride it out now at this point - I feel like I'm good for at least 3 years.

I would probably be looking to trade away a lot of that rookie talent for proven players.

Jeudy isn't in a great spot for passing and may be a little overrated

Dobbins has potential, but he isn't guaranteed to be good. Plus the team has a lot of solid talent at running back

Ruggs may be more like John Ross

Hurts may sit for years behind Wentz

I would look to see what young yet proven guys I could get. But that's just me. Maybe all those guys hit and you have a super squad

(Are you one of my leaguemates in disguise? ) Fair advice man, but I will respectfully disagree. I've attached my team again in Sig - my starting 11 would be enough to dominate an 8 team league, let alone a 10 team one. There was only one other team keeping pace last year, and the C-Mac trade now puts me solidly on top of the pile.

Regarding the Rookies - I trust my evaluations, and I'm playing Dynasty. Both Dobbins and Jeudy to me represent clear blue chip talent to hold and build around. I will not be selling them, and I don't need them to perform immediately or even this season. Regarding the others - I truly believe in loading my taxi with high-ceiling "wait on situation" upside swings, as I believe that's one of the clearest ways to gain a competitive advantage over the long term, especially with a 5 man taxi.

If you like the talent, then you take them, and let the situation work itself out. In the cases of Ruggs, Hurts, and heck, even Goedart - the draft capital was there, the team had a plan - so I will be patient, and see where it goes.

You could probably buy a more dependable tight end. That's what I would do, but yes your team doesn't need anything.
