Gave: Chubb + Hunt + 2021 1
Got: Barkley
How is the first trade not
Hunt > Guice
Cohen > Harris
2021 2nd > 2021 3rd

I just don't get why the guy makes that trade. He's really gambling on guice and Harris but if they pan out this trade is even.

Second trade likewise is clearly Barkley side, but I could see someone who is rebuilding and Barkley is their only asset making this trade.
Yea the first trade the guy really believes in Guice and thinks Harris will take over. Second trade guy decided last week that he was gonna blow it up. He’s been trying to get Chubb from me for years (he’s a browns fan) and is banking on hunt regaining a RB1 role after this season.

That’s a great trade for you. I’m not sure what the other owner is doing. The 3 pieces he received will never start consistently....
He has Akers and Sanders, so I think there’s some Rona handcuffing going on. Regardless I’m pretty happy to get out from under that Henderson mistake

Been sending out multiple offers during our draft, when this offer showed up.

Send Chubb, Darius Leonard, and Sternberger
Receive Barkley and Brady

Hurts to lose Leonard, but think I’m going to enjoy starting Barkley and Kamara😀

Had the whole league in the room for the draft last night. Swung this shortly after the conclusion of the 5th round, and just sat there waiting for the first person to notice their phone.

They were not amused.

I'm basing on a calculator sense. For the top player in fantasy, nothing is too much.

In a 10 team league I wouldn’t categorize this as “a lot” for McCaffery. Looking at his roster, where he’ll be starting Jackson and Mahomes in a Superflex league, plus McCaffey, Chubb, Ekeler, and Guice/Dobbins, Hill, JuJu, AJB, and Sutton, and Goedert at TE, that pick will be late.

Maybe in a 14 teamer with deep starting requirements, where depth matters more, I can see this being “a lot.” In this league, I don’t think so.

Yeah, I think that was the trick with this trade... it -looked- like a lot, he was wanting an "overpay", and he was also getting lowball offers from the rest of the league. We nearly had it across the line earlier in the day, but he was worried he "wasn't going to get value" at 1.10.

I ended up taking Reagor with that pick, and that turned out to be the guy he had been targeting/wanting, all along - which I discovered as the draft was wrapping, and we were debriefing. I'd deliberately been telling him to "Watch Justin Jefferson's tape" during negotiations to not tip my hand. From there it was as simple as saying "Reagor is in the deal, I've been drinking, lets do it" just after we concluded the 5th round. It took another few minutes... then one of the owners looking at his emails just goes "Hold on a minute... what the hell is this?" Good times.

Funnily enough, Goedart is still on my Taxi squad (it's 25 + 5). I am thinking I will try and get away with Jonnu Smith earlier in the year at least until there's some clarity. But for sure, in a 10 team, start 11 Superflex - consolidating depth into high end starters then using your roster depth to speculate has been my formula thus far.

Agree completely. Honestly, looking at your roster, at what point do you just package Goedert++ for Kittle?

Ha, to be honest... at this point, I don't think the rest of the league will trade with me now. I went from upstart to champion last year, ahead of schedule (basically on the back of Lamar) - I was always targeting 2020 as the year I would really start to smash it. I made trades over the last 2 years to end up with 5 picks in the first 20 in this draft - took Dobbins, Jeudy, Reagor, Ruggs, and Hurts.

So now it's a monster, and C-Mac puts the target on my back pretty squarely. The other superteams will make sure any trade cripples me. Frankly, I'm happy to ride it out now at this point - I feel like I'm good for at least 3 years.
