I don't think so. Other than some of the RB's that returned, the WR class still looks very deep.

Re: Some thoughts on the 2020 Rookie Class
The only guaranteed 1st rounder (in fantasy) that didn't enter the draft was Etienne, everyone else who stayed in school was very borderline in the first place. My rough rankings for the 1st round (1QB) assuming everyone who was eligible had declared were:
1 Taylor
2 Swift
3 Jeudy
4 Dobbins
5 Etienne
6 Lamb
7 Akers
8 Higgins
9 Shenault
10 Ruggs
11 Reagor
12 Edwards-Helaire
Etienne is the only drop out from that list, so I would probably put Jefferson in at 12 now with maybe McFarland or Tyler Johnson going there. The 2nd round has been hurt more than the 1st round in my opinion, but obviously some of you will have different rankings than I do. I think this class is still excellent because it's nearly equally strong at RB as it is at WR, rather than the typical draft it tends to lean to one or the other positions. The prospects aren't only strong at the top, but I think better in the back half of the 1st round than most years.

I look at risk vs reward. I don't see how Jonathan Taylor has a higher ceiling than swift/dobbins, and he has a way lower floor because fumbles can kill careers. Plus I know that people love Taylor, I'd rather sell him for a proven player, than draft him. But that is just my philosophy, I would rather have him than Chubb for instance because they are super similar players, but Taylor doesn't have the catastrophic knee injury.
Honestly even with swift I'm on the fence, if you told me I could give up those two + a couple auxiliary players for Kamara+Mixon I'm selling all day

As prospects*** but if Taylor can have just as successful of a rookie/sophomore stats I'd take him over Chubb. But as of today with the uncertainty behind Taylor not having played in the NFL it's ChubbJigga94 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 4:44 pmI'll sell you my 1.02 for Chubb in a heartbeatnathanq42 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 4:21 pmI look at risk vs reward. Not really. After the first few I'm not impressed at allFantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 3:43 pmI don't think so. Other than some of the RB's that returned, the WR class still looks very deep.
Theres some guys who run fast but dont have the production to back it up. A lot of MVS type guys. Even the "big 2" of Jeudy and Lamb both are over 6' but under 200 lbs.

Not surprised. I mean, this is the guy who thought Darwin Thompson was "special". Where did you take him, wasn't it like 1.04, or something?Bot101 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 7:21 pmNot really. Re: Some thoughts on the 2020 Rookie Class
I’m not touching Jerry Jeudy with a 10’ pole no matter how high he’s drafted. He has incredibly low odds of ever being a dominant WR1 in the NFL. This is how he’ll be drafted of course.
That advanced analytics profile is horrifying to look at.
Let’s just 20% or less of WRs with his profile ever become multiple year top 24 PPR players. Most of those players are positional converts or are completely undrafted (Edelman/Hill/Thielen/Baldwin). Complete and utter outliers

I may or may not be related to Bryan Edwards
Re: Some thoughts on the 2020 Rookie Class
I think the context had to be taken into consideration. 2 day 1 prospects jeudy and from what I've heard waddle is expected there too, plus 2 day 2 prospects in ruggs and Smith. Hard to stand out in that groupalewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 12:54 am I’m not touching Jerry Jeudy with a 10’ pole no matter how high he’s drafted. Re: Some thoughts on the 2020 Rookie Class
Yeah, I think Nate Liss came up with a metric called "teammate score", that takes into account the level of players around them. Guys like DK come out much better due to AJB and vice versa. Jeudy will be drafted as one of the top WR's in this class. Not necessarily a "dominant WR1". The guy won the Biletnikoff as a sophomore. Advanced analytics aren't gospel. Josh Jacobs made them look foolish. There is still a reality scouting beyond analytics. They have their faults. To each their own, but I'd put money on Jeudy being a top 24 PPR WR for 2 years in his career.nathanq42 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 1:40 amI think the context had to be taken into consideration. 2 day 1 prospects jeudy and from what I've heard waddle is expected there too, plus 2 day 2 prospects in ruggs and Smith. I agree here. Chances of him actually panning out are low based on historical analyticsalewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 12:54 am I’m not touching Jerry Jeudy with a 10’ pole no matter how high he’s drafted.
