I thought it was a good potential cause and resolution you tossed out. Your posts are always well thought out. I knew a former leaguemate who couldn't receive the messages in the emails. We ended up going to 3rd party apps for chatting within our leagues for this reason. Has worked out very well.

And you're right, blame doesn't matter here. Who's wrong and right doesn't matter... If you don't communicate with each other then the only thing you can count on is expecting more of this to occur

For real. It's good insight. Didn't mean to sound as if your comment isn't well thought out, it is. If you are leaving messages in the actual declined response, and the guy is still oblivious, he needs a lesson in understanding basic protocols of the app and emails. It would certainly prevent further instances, if you found out if he's simply oblivious, or just being an @ss, then you can move forward dealing with him accordingly. It's actually a good point, sorry for being so brusque.

12 team PPR SF

Give: Laviska + Fulgham

Receive: N'Keal + Jeff Wilson + '21 4

He keeps sending me different versions of this deal and they seem to progressively be getting worse. It's kind of annoying so I countered with

Give: Laviska + Fulgham
Receive: Justin Herbert + Jordan Love

Hopefully he gets the hint.

This is from a 1-9 team in a 1QB league.

I offered him an early 2nd for Conner which I thought was quite generous.

He countered with

I give J. Jefferson, mid 1st
I get Conner

Yeah, have fun when Conner's value craters after this year.

The counter is absurd but I don't really agree that an early 2nd for Conner is "quite generous". Possible he found it to be a lowball and sent the counter to make a point? Or maybe he's just bad at valuing players idk.

I have Conner in another, similar league where I'm not a contender. Put him on the trade block, had 3 contending teams inquire (one was over a barrel for RB's). I told them all late 1st/early 2nd for Conner and all 3 walked away. One guy took a zero at RB rather than trade what will be the 2.1 or 2.2 for Conner.

That's the basis for my opinion that an early 2nd was generous.

I agree with that. I think Conner should be about a late 1st at this point since he is a starting RB who is healthy and should be valued to a contender, I definitely see a path to Conner losing a lot of value though by next year depending on if the offseason is favorable or not to him. I don't think it's the only outcome though. It's fairly reasonable to think he resigns on a 2 or 3 year deal and keeps the job.

I think it depends on league size tbh, and 8 or 10 team league I can see a 2nd being pretty fair value

The pick I offered him will literally be the 2.1. It's an 0-10 team, the only team he won against this year.
Didn't matter, I won anyway and I get Mixon, Montgomery and Gurley back, and Salvon Ahmed panned out. Don't need Conner anymore :-) He actually contacted me about doing the deal again for the 2nd today and I told him no thanks.

12 teamer, will be the 13th overall pick, projects to be Terrace Marshall, Kenneth Gainwell, maybe Tylan Wallace. I'd much rather have those guys over Conner for 2021 and beyond.
