2020 BAD Trade Offers

I receive: K.Drake, Big Ben, Scotty Miller, 2021 2nd

This was totally unsolicited but I lost Dak on this particular team and I’m sure that’s why he offered Big Ben, thinking I might be worried and make a crazy trade. I have Goff as my backup and picked up Dalton on waivers and I’m ok riding them the rest of the season and that offer wasn’t even close to anything I would accept anyway.

I thought this wasn't that bad either until I remembered Keenan Allen exists

This was right after Bell signed with KC too. Personally I don't think the Bell signing changes much for CEH's value, but this was a terrible offer even at CEH's absolute peak value.

This was right after Bell signed with KC too. Personally I don't think the Bell signing changes much for CEH's value, but this was a terrible offer even at CEH's absolute peak value.

Stop being the Everyone must value all players exactly equal and the first offer must be an exact value exchange so that no ones delicate feelings are hurt guy.

Clyde's ADP was/is ahead of Watsons. Can't image Jimmy G not being worth just as much or more than Fant. Seems pretty fair to me.

Well that seems like a commensurate response. I really enjoy the people who immediately react to any disagreement with an ad hominem calling people "delicate" as though this is an early 2000s gaming forum.

At no point did I suggest that "everyone must value all players exactly equal[sic]". There's absolutely nothing wrong with sending somebody a bad offer- sometimes bad offers get accepted! I just think that it's a childishly defensive thing to pretend like your bad offers are not bad offers because they're "starting offers." It's a meaningless distinction that helps nobody; it only serves to create an artificial distinction between yourself, sender of lopsided starting offers, and those nefarious few who send Bad Offers. You seem upset that I've pointed it out, but most of us already know this to be the case because we have one or two of you in our leagues.

In my view this trade would still be somewhat short in regular SF. It would be an okay-ish open...not offensive, maybe in range of a counter. But given that the offer is short in 1TE, adding 2TE value to Fant, who is generally valued around TE5 in dynasty, makes this a massively unbalanced offer.
