I can certainly appreciate the burnout, especially as a multi-league commish. I was in five leagues this year and quickly discovered that that’s too much for me. I was over it before the season even started. Haha. I chose to just scale back, rather than walk away completely, but I can appreciate that desire.

You’re definitely one of a handful of posters around here that would be in my “tier 1” of DLF yahoos. I haven’t agreed with all of your takes, but I’ve also never finished reading one of your posts and thought “god, what an idiot.” Haha. Your contributions will be missed. Best of luck in whatever direction your life takes you from here. Hopefully some time off will rekindle your passion. If not, safe travels on this crazy journey we’re all on together. Cheers!

Hey man I've had some similar thoughts too. Not of the hobby itself but the direction the NFL is going, and I've had some recent health issues that have pulled my attention away.

I think you'll be back eventually. The void left will be difficult to fill given your screaming budget of zero dollars invested lol.

Every time I thought about getting out, I realized how much it would take away from the tradition of watching Redzone Channel on Sundays which is one of my favorite traditions as well as the excitement of seeing landing spots during the NFL Draft. I definitely get the burnout and the frustration for the ways the NFL is changing. I would scale back to 1 or 2 of my best leagues (based on owners) and stick it out for one year like that... then if you still feel strongly, cut the cord for the 2021 season. Always enjoyed your posts though and appreciate anyone who contributed so much to this site.
