We'll find out a lot about DH when he goes against the Bills this Sunday.

henderson looked exactly the same as he did last season.

the oline blocked better so he had a hole here and there to run through.

that's the problem when you do your analysis from the box score, you're often wrong.

I can’t tell if you’re implying he looked bad last year and the box score from last week is misleading, if he looked good last year but his box scores were misleading then.

I’m going to assume the latter because he looked great this past Sunday. I know he was also top three in the NFL in elusiveness rating in his limited looks last year

weird, when I watched him it sure looked like he was creating the hole this week. They actually got movement on the line instead of clogging it up but he was wiggling through, finding cut back lanes and he finally looked as fast as he did at Memphis. Very impressed.

yeah, the latter. there was a video of every run he made last season and he looked pretty good running the ball. a lot of the time there was just nothing there for him to make any kind of impact but he looked explosive whenever he ran.

I'm starting to think I gave up too early on this guy, the way I did with Aaron Jones. I would not want to have spent an early first on Akers, right about now.

Yeah I tossed up Akers or Ruggs in my draft and thought the immediate value was Akers, wish I went Ruggs now. Thought both of them were flyers with huge upside and questionable downside IMO and even though its only week 3 I wish I had that pic again.

You're gonna be fine if you drafted Akers.

It's always gonna be a 1-2 punch.

I don't think Akers is that good. Got him in an auction, fairly cheap, but felt dirty about it. I was never completely sold. More athlete than RB IMO. I am not seeing a guy who will translate and be a true difference maker at the position.

That sounds similar to your description of Gibson. Who would you prefer- Akers or Gibson?
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

I traded Akers and a 2nd for Gibson and a first. Not really sold on either. I'd take Gibson, for value at this point, he's an easier sell IMO. That offense is crippling, though. I am luke warm (my porno name BTW) on both of them.

Akers ypc in college was always a red flag. He has still barely played more than 1 game so the jury has to be out

Henderson though, he looked every but as explosive as he did in college. The bigger question, how did the Rams basically give up on him so fast? Why did they burn a 2nd on Akers? Coaches sometimes do not realize the talent on their own team.

I wush I would have pushed to pick up a few more Henderson shares, but I did add one more before the game. Edmonds and a late 2021 2nd for henderson

It's clear they want a committee, and have for a long time. Akers has really great traits and I see why they liked him but like, the point was always that in the NFL, there are very few bellcows. Henderson's explosiveness means he doesn't need as many touches to be effective. As Les Snead said in 2019, they envisioned Alvin Kamara like role for Henderson. Still leaves a sizeable chunk for Akers. Just not what people paid for him.

But like, any team with that quality of OL who takes RB and WR so high in a draft without a 1st round pick has serious managerial problems.
