Kyle Allen getting benched for Will Grier W16

According to a few outlets, seems as though Grier will get the start.

I think it’s obvious Allen isn’t quite there, he did alright to begin the year but has suffered from way too many bad turnovers in the 2nd half of the season.

My biggest concern is what will this do for DJ Moore, I definitely don’t feel great about starting him in my flex next week now.

I have DJ too, and I'm mildly concerned. I lost Godwin and Dalvin on that team, so I have no choice but to start him. He's been solid all year, and I think if Grier throws 40 plus times a game like Allen has, it won't be an issue. Allen wasn't exactly lighting it up.

I think I'd be more worried if I were a McCaffrey owner. Allen couldn't throw the ball downfield. Grier can and I think he's a better QB in general. Let's hope he's ready.

I don't think this is accurate. Allen is 15th in intended air yards (8.4) and 17th in aggressiveness, and Moore's average depth of target (11.3) is 51st. Not really "gunslinger" figures.

I think it's pretty fair to be concerned about a WR's production when a rookie QB is making his first start. I think CMC is the only safe play on that offense and wouldn't blame someone for benching Moore if they had a decent backup option.

About time as you could have made the argument we should have seen Grier a few weeks ago. Quite a few mocks that have CAR picking either Tua or Herbert in RD1.

A lot will obviously depend on what, if any chemistry/timing they have developed in practice. Grier is an anticipation type thrower so he'll have to trust Moore will be where he expects him to be.

DJ Moore does a lot of his work within 10 yards of line of scrimmage. It shouldn't be a big problem.

I'm a huge fan of Grier and really love this development.

I'm also in the Finals of one league and will start CMC. Grier will check down like 20 times to CMC!
