I love that there is a Mostert thread approaching three pages. This forum is great.

We draft late. Usually after 2nd week of preseason. Things will be pretty clear by then.

How are people feeling about him compared to Breida and Coleman looking ahead to 2020?

He and Breida will split time for the rest of this season and likely next (assuming Breida returns to SF next year). I think its pretty clear that SF plans on having 3-4 RBs that are all capable of carrying the load and just rotating them through.

I think Coleman is, I think Breida is working back from injury and likely will be fine(ish?) the next two weeks.

Mostert has a career ypc over 6. Good receiver. Looks great on tape. No reason to think San Fran give him the featured back role, he's not doing anything has hasn't done for years. They don't like him for some reason

I don't think there's a RB1 in that offense. They'll all just split snaps and the hot hand will win out week to week.

I also think they will continue to deploy RBBC. Mostert has looked excellent in 2018 and 2019. He seems to have cleared up his fumbling habits, which had concerned me in the past. But...i'll let others buy into this backfield for now, as I can't put forward a reasonable guess who will lead them in touches.

He has really good burst. To be fair, all of the backs in this rotation have looked great, besides the leads (who have been hurt). Jeff Wilson has been solid when given the call as well.

Long term? I doubt it. I agree with others here that focusing on one RB for a season just doesn't seem to be the 49ers approach.

For the fantasy playoffs right now though? I think so. I'm actually playing him over Ingram this week in a match where I am a huge underdog.
