I think the idea of "sell high" is misplaced here. Nobody in dynasty is going to look at Kamara losing Brees as a plus or lateral move for his value, it is a downgrade.
I'm not sure it will. There are more fingers on a single hand than 80+ reception-capable RBs in the league, regardless of the QB under center.

I think Kamara is a better player than CMC, who's value has maintained despite the injuries. He also needs less touches to be effective.

The RB thirst is real in my league. Owners were buying the likes of David Johnson and Todd Gurley this offseason

I'm with you. I think Sean Payton and Kamara will figure out a plan to keep a high scoring offense even without Brees. Kamara was doing better under Hill right before Brees came back.

Talent over situation. I'm not panic selling on the idea he has a lesser QB next year. He's shown he can be very efficient with his touches and yesterday showed he can handle volume and get TDs in buckets. He was used entirely differently yesterday- career high in touches and TDs, 3rd time in his career over 100 yards rushing (IIRC) all with only 3 catches for 17 yards.

If we're gonna speculate on value changes based on rumors, what happens if CMC gets a lesser QB- one who turns it over a ton, or a run first QB or with a gunslinger mentality? If Kamara is in a vulnerable position, so is CMC, and I trust Sean Peyton as a play caller (to work around that) much more than Matt Rhule.

Kamara: Confident or Concerned

Postby Overachiever77 » Tue Jun 29, 2021 7:30 am

How confident or concerned are you with Kamara’s ability to remain a RB1 without Brees? Where is his floor? Is now the time to buy or sell?

Are we talking about ppr? Being that they have the whole off-season to build the offense around him, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Good time to sell.

If Hill wins the starting job I would be really worried.

11/22 0 Receptions
11/29 1 Reception
12/06 2 Receptions
12/13 7 Receptions

Total receiving Yards 51 over that span
Longest reception 8 Yards
Zero TD's.

While he should still be good, thinking he will maintain the same levels without Brees is a bridge too far for me. I would cash out if a solid deal came my way.

My league is half PPR. I’m definitely concerned with Hill based on performance last year with him. Winston is better but he also doesn’t have a history of throwing to RBs. I think either way he won’t hit the numbers he had with Brees. I think there’s a sell window because if Hill ends up the starter I expect only lowball offers.

I have very little concern. Sean Payton does a very good job of getting the football to his best players

I would sell if I could get solid value. If I didn't own him in my league, I'd actually buy given the crazy low ball offers I've gotten for him.

I'm a little concerned for him going forward with a new QB and getting a little older, so I sold him in one of my leagues a couple months ago. I gave Kamara and 3 later devies (ended up being Julian Fleming, Romeo Doubs, and a devy pick next year) for Dak and Mike Davis in a superflex league.
