Can't wait to see Skip Bayless defend Prescott tomorrow, because of the 4th quarter garbage time stats.

I think Dak should get paid decent money, I think he gets paid top money... I do not think Dallas should be paying him top money. They are 6-7 and have not beat a team with a winning record. Does anyone think increasing Daks salary by 30m per year is going to help this team? That's not even taking into effect Zeke's contract extension. Dallas might be the new LAR in a few years

If they pay Dak 30mill they won't be ab;e to afford Cooper as well.

I said at the being of the Season that i wouldnt pay him.
Daks play reminds me of the Flacco SB Season.

I would draft Tua if i could and Tag Dak.
But I would draft Tua if I was, LAC, Colts, Packers, New England.

Haha, what was his actual quote?

It's so hard to separate the performance of the QB from the talent and the system around him. I wouldn't pay anyone unless I was sure that they were having success for my team that a good rookie or a bunch of middle-tier vets couldn't achieve. I like Dak, but he has Amari and Gallup catching his passes, Zeke running the ball and a monstrous O-line in front of him. Ask the Rams how paying through the nose for a QB in a great situation is working out right now. I rate Goff by the way and think he has been the least of the team's problems, but he doesn't look like a guy you want to break the bank for.
Mahomes, Wilson, Watson are worth it. Lamar might be, Darnold might be. Other than that, I just wouldn't do it these days. If I were Dallas, I'd rather try and trade for someone like Stafford. Pay a fraction of the price for Dalton, or hope to grab a rookie I can win with.

The Cowboys are screwed either way when it comes to the contracts they need to pay.

The problem with NOT paying Dak is that is it hard to get a QB as good as he is, even if you think he's average. You may spend the next few years churning through rookies & journeymen vets like Case Keenum until you hit. When you're team is in that QB search, you wish you had an average QB like Prescott.

If I'm the Cowboys, I pay Dak and draft a young guy early. I know that's just not done in the NFL very often, but the position is too important.

So you think paying Dak 30 million a year would yield better results than paying someone like Dalton, Tannehill, etc 20 million or so and spending that 10 million elsewhere?

ugh, i'm not a big prescot fan, but the idea of giving 20 million to dalton is just
but, being the cowgirls, i hope they give dalton 30 million! now that would be fun!

It was like we have Amari Cooper matched up with some average CB in off coverage on a critical 3rd down, but for some reason Dak is targeting Tavon Austin, a player that has done almost nothing at WR. I was like that’s a great damn point there Aikman!!
