Ya, that made no sense. That doesn't reduce the number of times you have to score, and just means you have to go for it again if you don't get it. Well they would have to go for 2 again, but risk missing that one too. The book says to go for two when you are down by 8. The EV of going for two is > than kicking the PAT. I thought this forum would know that? The announcers were totally right.
