Jacob Hollister Value

Its coming up on the trade deadline and i have received some trade offers for Hollister.

He has shown some solid receiving and route skills after taking over for Dissly and i know the athleticism traits are there. My concern is will he have a role next year when dissly returns, if he returns to form after the Achilles injury.

His value is kind of up in the air as of now with him just emerging but with Russ as a QB and a clear path to TE1 in the offense, what do you guys think he is worth?

Value is close to zero. Not worth paying anything for him at this point, but that's not necessarily an indictment. He could be worth something in a few weeks if this continues, but no reasonable owner is going to be paying any noteworthy price for him right now.

agreed, he wont be worth much but I think by season end he will be worth a second, he has shown he can play ball well, made some crazy clutch catches for the hawks these past couple of weeks

People tried to write off Dissly too and he kept producing. Hollister may be a back end TE1 and certainly has some value in a 2TE league or TE premium. Wilson likes his big targets in the red zone.

He's someone who will produce in that offense, for at least the remainder of this year. If I'm a contender and need TE help, I'd gladly pay a 3rd for him.

A late 4th or Higgins.

Nothing i personally think would be worth it based on his upside and how he has shown.

i'd pass for those especially if you have a team who can win now. nothing to say he cant be the starter next year also... the seahawks don't have a ton invested in dissly either

I'd rather take the dart throw in picking up SEA's starting TE off the waiver instead of the dart throw of a 3rd or 4th round pick. If he beats out Dissly next season it's a very nice free asset.

I'd say a 3rd as of right now given he's making the most of his opportunity. Hollister might be worth a 2nd eventually if he keeps up this level of production, but remember that Ed Dickson is returning from injury next week, which could eat into Hollister's role a bit.

I just sold Hollister & a late 3rd for a late 2nd, and felt it was a good deal. I think Hollister can have a strong 2nd half performance but that projecting anything beyond 2019 it is too early to tell.
