Code Red Panic- David Johnson

Postby Pullo Vision » Tue Nov 12, 2019 5:59 pm

I honestly was going to target him mid season as a buy low. However, he's done horrible the last few weeks, getting outperformed by Chase Edmonds and a guy who had joined the team a few days before, Kenyan Drake.

It's gotten so bad he mustered 2 yards rushing on 5 attempts and a catch for 8 yards on 1 target.

How are you approaching him for the rest of this year and next?

He's definetlyoat his confidence. I would be a buyer at his current price which in guessing is probably a low 2nd

If I could buy him for a low 2nd that would be amazing. Problem is, I don't know any owners that are selling him at a discount at all currently.

Always been one of most over rated/valued players in the game, 2016 was just a perfect storm of factors his favor. Was such a blatantly obvious sell after that season, but everyone was trying to buy. Between injuries and the team's rapid decline the following years have been even worse than I initially anticipated, and yet people are still holding out hope that 2016 will magically happen again. He'll probably have some decent games and maybe even another full season as a quality fantasy starter, but his days of being a full-time RB1 are over.

He's not going anywhere. He's in Arizona next year. He may be a very expensive role player. They should honestly explore with him as a "big slot" WR. That, or move TE.

$14M+ cap hit / $16M+ dead cap. He will be on the roster unless they can find a taker in trade.

It's hard not to be concerned right now. Ever since his 2000 yard total season in 2016:

2017 - Tore ACL
2018 - Healthy season wasted by awful coaching, still returned RB1 value on 330 touches though
2019 - Looking like a lost, ineffective season

Cardinals haven't had a good line though.

Wasn't it his wrist? I thought he hurt his knee in 2016, at the end of the season, but it was healed through off season rehab.

Yeah it was a wrist not an ACL.

At least do your research before posting.

Somebody's believing a little too much of the BS they're trying to use for leverage in trades.

If you were selling, what would you be willing to move on for?

Yes a single mistake in my post means I didn't do any research. The entire point remains the same.

Except, I own Johnson in a league and I'm not looking to acquire him anywhere else.
