He didn’t have any worth using in Miami, he used Julius Thomas a ton as OC of the Broncos.ericanadian wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 4:05 amWould need to see something first. Re: Chris herndon
Herndon is absolutely a must add. He played exceptionally well last year and has a great connection to Darnold.
I'd say he has more upside than Thomas currently as he will immediately be plugged into a starting role. Both are great stashes for a tough position, but I think you will know what you have with Herndon sooner than later.

Re: Chris herndon
I think next year will be his real breakout if he stays healthy and out of trouble.

Re: Chris herndon
Did he? Or did Peyton Manning? Manning essentially called the plays during his time in Indy. It’s probably why Tom Moore was never seriously considered for a head coaching job. Do you think that changed with a rookie OC on a team that paid him a ton to come in and be the saviour in Denver? Gase also had Martellus Bennett in Chicago and reduced his usage significantly, even if you adjust for the games missed due to injury.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 6:59 amHe didn’t have any worth using in Miami, he used Julius Thomas a ton as OC of the Broncos.ericanadian wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 4:05 amWould need to see something first. Re: Chris herndon
TEs are really hard to predict.
I've yet to see one analyst or dynasty enthusiast be anything close to consistently right on TEs before they breakout.
Every year there are a bunch of great prospects and for the most part almost none of them hit.
If you look back a few years we've had countless hype stories and very little hit.
I really believe in buying an established TE and not burning 1st or 2nd round draft capital trying to hit on one. I can't find the article but there was evidence they had the lowest hit rate relative to draft capital for dynasty.

Re: Chris herndon
Herndon seems to be a pretty controversial player in TE debates - his name crops up (usually unfavorably) in Player Debates against guys like Gesicki, Everett, Engram and so forth.Sfoster2625 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 2:35 am Saw his name as an must add on a few sites and picked him up. Re: Chris herndon
Gesicki starts with a G not an E like Everett & Engram?
Maybe the g is silent and it is pronounced (g)Esicki.

I am curious to see what his price tag will be in the off-season - I am expecting pretty cheap considering the volatile nature of TE markets but who knows.

Re: Chris herndon
I almost cut Herndon yesterday in a SF league (Ertz is my other TE). Already have Cam and Lamar Miller out for the year and only 1 IR slot in that league. My team is in rebuild mode in that league, so I have time to be patient with Herndon.
Just couldn't bring myself yet to drop Herndon for Vance McDonald, Kyle Rudolph or Fells (didn't realize that dude is 33!). Although Ian Thomas was just dropped. Not like there's conviction either way though. Hmmm...
