I was thinking the EXACT same thing.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 7:44 pmThe cynic in me says that the NFL didn’t care because he was too low profile, but once he took over the lead role, then they needed to act.Shoreline Steamers wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 7:41 pmAgree completely. So weird that the suspension stems from events of last spring, but somehow Walton managed to latch on with another team and play through Week 9 before the NFL decided to do anything about his off-filed conduct?
Unless they were conducting an investigation or something, though I hadn't heard anything about that either. Timing just seems off. Not talking conspiracy or anything like that, but you'd have thought punishment would have come sooner than this.
I wonder if Miami will welcome him back? The organization certainly knew what they were getting with Walton, so the suspension ultimately shouldn't have come as a surprise. But in reality, I don't think we're looking at a player who's all that valuable anyway at the end of the day.

Walton arrested again, and cut.
That should basically be a wrap on his career.
