He's an unrestricted free agent after this season though. So, long-term is questionable.
Very true. I imagine the Raiders will sign him, though. They have the added bonus of being a very friendly destination for UFA's with no state tax in Vegas. 10 million a year from the Raiders is better than 10 million from other teams. (Amount just an example, not saying he's worth10 a year)

Realistic floor: Waller is a top10 Tight End as a one-year wonder and he's never heard from again.

Realistic ceiling: Waller is a top3 - top5 Tight End for the next handful of seasons. He just turned 27, is a converted WR with plus athleticism, and is a great story to root for now that he's sober.

All I know is he's a great Flex / Depth guy for my team competing for a championship. I just hope he can sprinkle in a few more TDs as the season progresses!

He's catching 90% of his passes. 90%. Gruden loves him, Carr loves TEs. Not only that but the Raiders have picks out the bleep the next few seasons. This team is already on a positive path, you can see the changes in the water there.
This guy will be a top-8 TE the next few seasons barring injury or drug use.
And you said we don't like any of the same players :D

Except Moreau's producing in the passing game as well, as a rookie and is in another world of athleticism compared to Ellison...
Moreau is averaging 1.5 catches per game. His primary use in college was as a blocker, and that's been reflected in his stats, and in how he was utilized.

Brought together by the Wallerus himself. He really shouldn't even be classified as a TE, just like Engram. Feels like borderline cheating haha

I think it's too soon to make a bold statement about his future. I'm not buying him because the TE talent is lacking so much that his price is too high, and I'm not selling him either because what else is there to replace him?

In one league I own Kittle & Waller. It's a luxury and I don't plan on selling yet. At the end of the season perhaps I will, but there's no way I'm going to do it yet.

I like him this year but don't know how to view him long term.

I'd like to buy him for my contending team in a 2 TE league but dont know how to value him.

Where would he rank vs OJ Howard?

Depends on what you mean by real deal.

Can he keep this up this season? Yeah, of course.
Can he continue to do it with Carr? Probably, look at what Cook did with Carr last season.
Would Waller have these kind of stats on any team? Nah, definitely not.

The Raiders will definitely add a WR1, likely in the draft, but I think Waller still maintains a large target share for the next few years.

Myself included, and it's TE premium, and I have been able to put Waller in the Flex spot as a result. I have not been asked about him at all, which I find odd. Either people assume I'll ask too much, or they aren't believers.

I had been starting Ruldolph in one league for the first two weeks...what a waste of space

After week 2 I picked up Disley and recently moved Daniel Jones for Waller in hope to somewhat solidify my TE slot. Don’t feel like I over paid or the ask was too much for him...guess you never know unless to discuss with league-mates

$9m per year extension through 2023.
Great for his fantasy value.
Hate this in real life.

Why? Do you hate good players on your team? Oakland literally has no receivers

Why? He's a great fit with the team. He's in his prime. I don't see an issue with it.

Phaded they have so much cap space, this is a good deal. 26,000,000 as of now, projected 80,000,000 + in 2020.
If he plays like this, they've got a top 5 TE at a reasonable price.
I like Waller and the deal here. Good for everyone.
