Just curious about the community’s views on Raiders TE Darren Waller? Is he the real deal or flavor of the month?

Are you buying or selling and and for what price.

He one of the Raiders bright spots thus far this year and seem to have a high efficiency ratio and elite YAC ability.

Would love to hear some more view points on him.

Getting a ton of targets. He's the real deal IMO. I've tried to buy but his owners know his worth.

Carr loves his tight ends. Look at Cook having a career year. I think Waller is better than Cook, and he only has Williams as a legit threat for targets

I dunno. He is force fed because who else is there other than Williams? I guess as long as he gets the targets then he will be productive. I’m just not a believer.

This year?
Sure.

Beyond?
Not confident.

It seems pretty obvious to me that he is talented. Maybe the next qb doesn't love Waller as much? But Gruden definitely does.

You're assuming Carr isn't there next year. I wouldn't assume that. Carr is playing decent football, with little talent around him at WR (again). He's at 72.1 percent right now, with a passer rating of 96.7, the same rating he had in 2016 when people though he'd be considered for the MVP before getting hurt. There is certainly room for improvement, but I wouldn't assume they just turf him. A lot will depend on whether he keeps them competitive the rest of the way, but right now he's their best player, so I wouldn't just assume he's gone.

Waller is the real deal this year. I wonder, though, how much of his value is tied to Carr and the desperation that is the Raider's passing game right now.

He sure looks legit in his routes, quickness, toughness and consistency. Dude is getting open a lot and catching most everything thrown to him. No TD's yet - they're forcing them into Williams in the red zone. Maybe he's this year's Eric Ebron. Elite TE production out of no where.

This year, he's the real deal. He's getting open, getting YAC, and receiving a ton of volume without Brown being there.

He's an unrestricted free agent after this season though. So, long-term is questionable.

I'm absolutely buying. Guy has been pretty phenomenal. He gets open and he catches everything.
He's catching 90% of his passes. 90%. Gruden loves him, Carr loves TEs. Not only that but the Raiders have picks out the bleep the next few seasons. This team is already on a positive path, you can see the changes in the water there.
This guy will be a top-8 TE the next few seasons barring injury or drug use.

Foster Moreau is more involved than youd expect a rookie TE to be.

And hes freakishly athletic, was stuck in a run first offense with no way to showcase his ability in college and was my most likely to be the next Kittle this offseason.

Waller could be real, but Moreau is a better blocker and if he develops into a comparable receiving threat why what incentive is their to keep Waller over him?

I dont know what the odds of him emerging are, but I think people are sleeping on Moreau as a threat

A converted WR playing the TE position getting a ton of targets. What's not to like? Yes, he's for real.

Moreau is a great blocker. And that's exactly the role he is playing. Waller is a better receiver, and that's the role he is playing.
Similar to Rhett Ellison and Evan Engram in NY. I'm not buying Rhett Ellison though.

Except Moreau's producing in the passing game as well, as a rookie and is in another world of athleticism compared to Ellison...
