We get it. Samuels looked good because of Samuels, and Conner looked good because of Samuels.

Samuels averaged 4.6 YPC on 56 carries last year and Conner averaged 4.5 on 215 carries. So I guess you can hang your hat on that, sure. He had a better YPC on a 1/4 of the workload Conner had.

It's funny that you pick Samuel's out of the 2 that needed gimmick play to perform. This was his first game.

Conners 0/3 this year in "non gimmick" football behind 3 Pro Bowl linemen! Hahaha

I'm also hanging my hat on the better blocker/receiver!

This post is kind of ludicrous but I actually do agree that Conner probably isn’t a way better player than Samuels.

They are both nice, big backs with good hands.

Conner has more power, Samuels has better receiving chops.

Neither guy is the type of RB a team would want to structure an offensive gameplan around.

This smells like some sort of troll or fanboy post if you ask me.

I thought Samuels looked great, although statistically Conner did better with the exact same amount of catches and carries the Samuels had. But it was fun to see Samuels used in the way he was operating out of the wildcat. I don’t see that as being sustainable going forward, nor do I see Samuels as being anything better than Conner. I see them both as above average but nothing inherently special.

If this forum post can reach the steelers to encourage them to use Samuels more I’m all for it, I could use one of my speculation backs finally developing to help my team out.

Samuel's has had 15+ touches 4x in his career

In all 4 games he has scored 15+ points in PPR
His average in those games is 18+ points!!

Plus he blocks better.

Steelers finally woke up imho. Had one of their best weapons rotting on the bench.

His FPPT is a little bit better then 1 point per in those 4 games

In a PPR format that scores 1 point per 10 yards.

I would love to possess Samuels numerous skills and put them to use if I were a coach.

Conners FPPT was a MUCH MUCH lower 0.85/per last season. Much worse this year.

And to think he was used EXCLUSIVELY in the backfield for 3 weeks!

Finally, Tomlin and company smelled the coffee I hope.

I wonder why now. Why did the Snell get 3 carries to Samuels 0 last week? Snell is horrible

Probably a game situation thing. But that's what this post is about. You cant deny Samuel's. Hes only played a handful of games and has ALWAYS impressed.

That he has. His game against NE last year was awesome to watch. He absolutely shredded them.
