Don't think Gallman is any good, but the Giants offensive line has been blocking for the run very well through 3 games. 8th in adjusted line yards. Gallman should be in for a lot of volume in an offense that may open up things with Jones threatening downfield more and Tate coming back after next week.

He's definitely worth a start as a Flex.

his upcoming schedule is brutal after this week. I grabbed him off the wire but went ahead and flipped him for a 2020 3rd.

Just saw a Gallman trade of

Gallman, 2020 3rd & 2020 4th
for
2020 2nd.

So some believe he will be productive. I think he has a shot to be a low end RB2. :)
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

I picked him up in the late 6th round of our rookie draft (allows free agents to be taken) this May. Held him in case this happened and will try and sell him for a 3rd

He was dropped in my league last week before Saquon's injury (ironically it was for Ajayi, who I had dropped for someone else), so being a Barkley owner, I ended up picking him up only for that reason. Not too confident in him though, but I've got pretty good depth, so I won't have to use him.

I feel that the Giants will see how Gallman does this week and then determine if they want to bring in someone else or if Gallman can get them by until Saquon is back.

Have seen some concern as well that the possibility of shutting Saquon down is a real thing too depending on how the giants play without him. If go on a losing streak and season is over, would make sense to shut him down.

It's certainly a possibility, but I would think they would still want Jones to get game reps alongside Barkley to get a look at them together going into next year. Ultimately I think (or at least hope) they wait until Barkley is truly 100% recovered from the injury and then bring him back for at least 4-5 games and possibly sit him week 17.

Barkley isn't missing an entire season for an ankle sprain, that is silly talk. As for Gallman, volume is king and Jones looks capable enough to at least get him some 1st down carries and some red zone trips vs predictable matchups.

Don’t think you understood the post. He is almost certain to miss 6 weeks at minimum. If the Giants lose all 6 of those, why would the giants risk reinjury on a spent season? That’s the argument.

I understood it. And since when do healthy football players just go play golf for a month and a half? These guys are ultra competitive warriors, no way he lets them hold him out an entire half of a season. Zero precedent for that type of move. This isn't a guy coming off an ACL or AJ Green missing week 17. If he is healthy he will play.

Agree to disagree. Never said it was a given, just that it has been thrown out there. I could see it happening but agree that it isn’t likely.
