RB Buy Lows?

Postby Jason3123 » Mon Sep 23, 2019 4:20 pm

With a TON of the top ADP RB's struggling, which RB's, if any, are you possibly targeting? Especially for those of you competing who maybe need RB help or depth.

James Conner?
Devonta Freeman?
Chris Carson/Rashaad Penny?
Todd Gurley?
David Johnson?
Aaron Jones?
Kerryon Johnson?
Sony Michel?
Leonard Fournette?

It's really a never ending list. A lot of disappointments through 3 games.

Great point on all the disappointing RBs. I'd target Michel, Kerryon, and Conner the most.

If you believe in Mixon, he'd be a good buy.

DJ and D. Freeman for me.

Will probably die on the Freeman hill here. But come on he's been an RB1 before, and is not currently injured. He's gotta be able to put up numbers in that offense with that strong passing game right?

For DJ I look at it as an offense in progress, and as Murray gets more experience, that offense will get better. While the O-line may be bad the cardinals should find themselves in shoot outs and DJ is a great pass catcher. His wrist injury concerns me, and I don't like his age, but I think for this year he should be good.

I'll add that you could probably buy Melvin gordon pretty low right.

I think all of the struggling RBs has a lot to do with struggling offensive lines. We've had overall worse offensive line play every since the last CBA, which reduced the amount of padded practices. Add to that the rules that favor passing and running feels like it's at an all time low.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Cohen finished as RB11 in my PPR league last year and he is really struggling so far. He is 2nd on the team in targets and receptions however so there is hope he could improve on his slow start

Freeman also has Dirk Koetter as his OC, and he has historically been a cr@p coach at running the ball. I want no part of Freeman.

James Conner? Whether you believe in him or not as a talent, it's going to be a long year for PIT

Chris Carson/Rashaad Penny? Should Carson continue to fumble, you'd have to think he gets benched

Todd Gurley? There's no telling how this situation continues to develop but even if Gurley is 70% of himself, he's better than a lot of RB's

David Johnson? Is DJ truly an elite level RB? There's no one pressuring him for touches, so he could be a target

Aaron Jones? Losing snaps to Jamaal, ehhhh

Kerryon Johnson? No one pressuring him but he hasn't looked good

Sony Michel? Pats running with Burkhead over Michel LOL, friggen A

Leonard Fournette? Hasn't looked good either but no one's pressuring him for touches.

conner and fournette two of my favorites to target, love a heavy workload back who people want off their team.

royce freeman gotta be cheap as dirt after a big game from PL, not a bad target for the price expected.

funny i would be the one to say this but damien williams, owners gotta be livid they bought in but hes not dead and shady isnt expected to be a healthy 3 down back all season.

drake/ballage theres nothing to say one of them cant have a surge of splash games, seen it before from both but mostly drake.

justice hill, many owners over drafted and now see him doing diddly squat but ingram aint young and its obvious the run game is important there.

lev bell, team looks bad and hes hanging on by volume. price might be right for once.

lat murray, doing nothing but going to have some big games and a giant role if kamara goes down.

Lol

I'd probably narrow my list down to Fournette, Penny and maybe Michel?

Gurley and Johnson, I have to believe, are still pretty expensive.

idk how your league is setup but OMG NO!!! The Fournette owner would need to add on to his share if he wanted Kittle from me and probably by a lot! Remember there was talk of the Jags cutting this guy in the offseason not to mention he is injury prone and what is his carrier YPC like 3.7? Fournette is surviving off of his hype coming into the league and his banner rookie year (which wasn't even that good) but he hasn't been good in a while
