Because Mike Zimmer is a moron. Diggs is one of the Top 2-3 route runners in the league and he has 1 less target than someone named Bisi Johnson in this game.

Agree completely, but if the Vikes keep pace Zimmer isn't going anywhere. Aside from a trade, I don't see how it gets better any time soon.

Then again, he can't be too happy putting up his 3 for 44 with Thielen's monster day today. Maybe the silver lining is he got the message about the different ways (and results) to handle dirty laundry publically? Betting it won't take too long to see if he really got it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the player and think he's one of the best route runners in the league, but I'm not going out of my way to pay market prices for him. I'd rather pay a little extra and get someone like Allen or Evans, or target someone else in his range like Kupp / Golladay / Godwin.

You're probably correct, I was speaking more towards my approach coming into this season. I still think we're 1 big game away from Diggs re-claiming his status as a borderline top12 guy, that's typically how recency bias works mid-season with these polarizing players.

Right now though, you're probably paying Diggs + something (2nd? prospect?) to get someone like Kupp / Golladay.

My team is bleep, so I doubled down and bought Diggs, Howard, and Breida for Kerryon and Mike Williams.

As a Mike Williams and Kerryon truther during their preseason draft cycles, it hurt, and I regret the trade immensely.

This is Diggs the first year into a contract with any substantial money. He's already acting like a diva a quarter of the season in.

While I do not own any Stefon Diggs shares - it must have been nice for his owners to see him have a monster game. And after 100 yards in his first 3 games (combined) he has had 319 yards in the next 3 games & is now top 20 in Receiving yardage.

Yes, despite the fact that probably 95% of Diggs owners had him on the bench (me included), it was very nice to see. And I say that as an Eagles fan lol.

Hopefully he (and the Vikings passing offense along with it) can string together a few good games in a row, but I'm not holding my breath on that just yet.

I’d be surprised if 95% of owners had him benched. Not everyone is in a 10 team that only starts 7.
