Been trying to buy Diggs a few times this season, as recently as before the start of week 3's games. My offer's been Kupp for Diggs straight up. Honestly after week 3, not sure I'd do that any more. That's probably more about Kupp's rising star than Diggs doledrums.

Gotta believe it's just a matter of time before Diggs and Thielen (to a lesser degree) pop back a bit. They eventually gotta pass to win, but maybe not as much as we're used to seeing outta Cousins. However, you'd have to be blind to not see that the Vikes wanna run the hell outta the ball. And not just for a game or two. That's gotta discount both Diggs and Thielen's value some.

Hate to say it, but doesn't seem like much will change while Cook is healthy. Then again, the odds of that staying the case all year probably are not high.

Postby whaley88 » Wed Oct 02, 2019 7:39 pm

I've been seeing alot of speculation that he is going to be traded soon with the latest being because he didnt show up to practice today. What do yall think the chances are currently of him being traded, to where, and is he a buy right now in hoping for a trade or that cousing gets his bleep together?

A lot of viking fans have said it wouldn't work because of the dead cap and zimmer would go first before Diggs...

Long ways to go before the trade deadline, anything could happen. Maybe they will trade Cousins instead. It's not like his contract is that big, at least the guaranteed portion of it was not too much.

What the heck are you taking about. Cousins' entire contract is fully guaranteed.

Ive got Diggs and don’t plan to start him, but keep in mind he did have 2 TD’s called back 2 weeks ago too. One for a BS PI call on Dalvin Cook and I forget the reason on the 2nd. So he still ended up with 1 TD that game.

The massive production isn’t there because of Cousins, but he’s def. a hold and do not sell low. Talent always prevails.

It's pretty rare for players of Diggs' caliber to get moved in season before the deadline. Also, they have no receivers outside of him and Thielen, so they can't afford to lose either unless they want to play Treadwell and other less reliable players

Overall, the Vikings salary structure makes no sense for the team they're trotting out. They paid their WRs huge money and a fully guaranteed deal for a QB. Yet, their running an offense that's essentially designed for a rookie QB who you don't trust. They really need to stop being so absurdly run heavy and adapt with the rest of the league.

Ever try to teach an Eskimo to surf?

Same thing with Zimmer. Great defensive coach. Can't run an NFL offense.

I'm selling and I have been on board since his rookie year. Cousins and Zimmer poisoned the well, and Diggs is there long term unless he can force a trade.

The best hope for Diggs owners is a Zimmer firing and even still, Stefon Diggs turns 27 next season and still has another year of Cousins. Reacquire at a later date. He's still the same player capable of being a high end WR2.

But it's so endearing the way he yells at the clouds and tells those kids to get off his lawn. That ol 'aw shucks attitude really resonates here.....

It’s fully guaranteed and why would any team want him? He is a joke.

How quickly we forget the Browns being paid a 2nd round pick to take Brock Osweiler.
