Goff hasn't looked sharp this year so far, but the team is still 3-0 from 2 "on-paper" tough road games.

With the Gurley situation driving people insane, Goff's being tasked with managing the game and making plays when needed...which he has been doing. However, the defense appears to have gotten better from last year. Baker looked awful last night.

Goff is definitely a dynasty top 12 QB for me when you include situation, youth & talent total.

Goff is only 24 (basically only a half year older than Mayfield and with 2 extra years of experience) and this is only Year IV. Many QBs (not all) keep getting better - as QB like TE is a slower developing position. Its the demand at the position that makes many of them starters perhaps before they are 100% good to go.

The only QBs I'd feel comfortable putting ahead of Goff are (alphabetical order)

Luck (if there is any chance at a return)
Mahomes
Rodgers
Ryan
Stafford
Wilson

Lamar Jackson & Prescott (grudgingly) I'd put on the same tier
Newton, Watson & Wentz on the same tier but a smidge behind due to risk of injury due to style of play

Darnold, Allen, Mayfield & Trubisky would all be below Goff. Same with Winston, Dalton, Garoppolo & Cousins.

Redraft I'd add

Brady (who if I look through a 1-2 year window would also be equal/above Goff)
Brees
Rivers

Jigga94 wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2019 2:53 am I get saying that Goffs situation props him up, but that situation isn't really going anywhere. I guess I don't buy this slump they've been going through (although I don't buy the blazing pace they were on 1st half of last year either).

Also, no way I'd trade Goff for Carr, Ben, Brees, Brady or even Rivers at this point. (Maybe it's because I play 2 QB I see him as a better value...?) All the others have their case though which is why I think he's top 12 in dynasty

Mahomes, Wentz, Kyler, Lamar, AR, Watson, Josh Allen, Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan, Dak, Baker,

There,12 I’d easily take any of them over Goff
That's only 11
I thought I forgot how to count

Say what you will about Lafleur - perhaps he walked into the best situation - but at the moment he is the only new coach with a winning record (all the other 7 hires have 0-1 wins).

Packers don't look like a "good" 3-0 team though, and I imagine you can say the same about Buffalo.

Is anybody going out of their way to try and grab Gallman with Saquon’s injury?

Cam is a reach...I'd easily take Goff over him. Cam's washed. (Also it's kind of weird to critique someone for calling you out for only listing 11 QBs when the whole point you were making is that Goff isn't a dynasty QB1).

He should definitely be added if not already rostered in typically deep leagues.

The whole point was their are 12 other QB's I would take/rank above Goff, I mean if he's your definition of a QB1 then I have a bridge I can sell you.

He's no different than Matthew Stafford

You mean the Matthew Stafford that was a consistent QB1 until last year? For his 10 seasons (not including the current) he's been a QB1 for 8.

It's funny how just listing 12 (or 11 names) was productive, but disputing those names is not. No one really cares about your ranks, it's all opinion based but you didn't give any reasoning, literally just a list...

Actually Matthew Stafford is currently a QB1 this year - scoring format dependant of course. That could change depending on how well Keenum plays against the Bears (Trubisky would need like a 50pt game to make it into the top 12).
