I'm relying on MT and Kamara for a competing team. I'm worried, but sitting tight.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Yeah I’d think it’d be silly to sell either at a discount seeing as brees should be back. If you really have a contender, should be able to make playoffs anyways.

As a Kamara owner - I'm more worried that Bridgewater is who they are going to be putting out at quarterback than without Brees.

Why is Kamara not scoring?

Postby hockeyBjj » Mon Dec 09, 2019 2:48 pm

Since returning from injury week 9 he's RB13 in PPR points per game so it's not horrible, but definitely seems underused compared to last year.

4, 13, 11, 11, 13 Carries and 10, 10, 9, 8, 6 targets. 0 touchdowns

Redzone touches, he's actually 5th for rbs yet only 2 touchdown on the year

Is it just a dry spell and he'll get his? Or are they not using him as a priority to get into the endzone?

I don't think he's fully back from the ankle and probably won't be the remainder of the year.

Typical post ankle injury performance (Saquon going through it too).

-Gets hurt
-Misses some time
-Returns earlier than initially projected
-Doesn't play like normal self
-People panic
-Starts getting healthy around the time that was initially projected
-Starts playing well again

Wouldn't surprise me if they aren't using him less down the stretch unless they have to in order to save him for the playoffs. I mean before this past week's game they were on a 3 game win streak with this low usage. And should have won this week if there was better tackling on Kittle on the final desperation drive by the 9ers.

Teddy Bridgewater, injury, TD are flukey.

QB - Saints offense ppg w/Teddy 19.8 ppg w/Drew 29(31.5 in 2018)
Injury - Kamara's touches are pretty much the same as 18 but he hasn't been as effective at 4.4+6.8 instead of 4.6ypc + 8.8ypr last season
TD - Kamara has 15.8 non-TD points per game this season. in 2018 it was 16.4

I think he is just still nursing the ankle injury. He seems to be running a lot less hard and explosive compared to in the past. I think we will see traditional Kamara running in the playoffs/next season. No need to hit the Panic button imo

Because I didn't wear my lucky shirt when drafting this year, sorry.

(this is the worst fantasy year I've ever had and it's not very close)

Alvin Kamara: Cause for concern?

Postby FantasyFreak » Tue Aug 11, 2020 11:21 am

So it turns out Kamara "tore his knee" last season, and played through a significant knee injury. I remember Bell did this late in the year, and the following year tore 2 ligaments in his knee. So does this concern you at all? Is a re-injury probable or more likely? It certainly explains his poor season, as he seemed to be banged up all year. What exactly was the injury? It may have been a meniscus, but I can't find any specifics. He claims he's fully healthy through rehab.

I'd be more concerned with his inability to get it done between the tackles. He wasn't the same without Ingram powering defenders, setting them up for Kamara in space. A lack of a lid lifter also hurt him, defenses started cheating up on him.

I may be looking at it wrong, but the fact he was injured makes me feel better about him. He had a down year last year, but was still solid, and he had this injury. Makes me more confident in a rebound.

I’m not that concerned about a lingering issue.
