Have a team capable of a playoff run so putting a lot of trust in Dak this year
I really like this regardless of situation. Substantial upgrade on Lock and getting younger on Rivers.

Why wouldn't you keep Rivers then if your goal is to win this year?

In a 1qb league I see little point in owning any of these guys other than Rivers, so I will take that side.

For a TE premium salary cap league not in sig:

Sold Landry at $14/year (pretty pricey salary, top 12 I think)

Got back Hunter Henry at $6.50/year (fairly inexpensive salary. TE 10 or 12 in terms of contract)

Rosters are big and quite a few IR slots

Key word is Capable of a playoff run. Most likely the window really opens next year since RB depth is kinda weak this year unless Miles Sanders really breaks out his committee

Even then I would keep Rivers in 1QB. This trade didn't really accomplish anything for you other than take up an extra roster space and give you 3 middling QBs. Rivers/Dak is a perfectly fine QB group in 1QB, Lock isn't a must roster player in this format.

Lock was just an IR stash in case he returned and turned into something. Not too hard to trade away if someone wanted him. Now holding Darnold in that IR spot. Still think he has enough upside to take a major leap forward next year. As for Rivers, I think retirement is coming sooner than most expect. From watching that playoff game against the Patriots and now down one maybe two weapons (Henry and Mike Williams) with Melvin Gordon being gone at the end of the year I just doubt this team is a true SB contender on the level of the Pats or Chiefs. If thinking to next year, I would take Darnold over him as a QB2 but I understand why someone would rather have Rivers.

Awesome deal for you.
Yep I agree. Thanks! DJ and Godwin were top targets of mine since I decided to blow it up and I somehow got both from the same owner in different deals. Pretty stoked.

Made a trade on Saturday for my team in sig:

Gave: M. Thomas + 2021 2nd
Got: O. Beckham Jr.

Felt weird to do so in-season since I'm a contender, but felt like I got my guy and I like OBJ's longevity with Baker more than Thomas's situation post-Brees.

Of course, with Brees' injury I feel a little better about the trade.

Sometimes the best deals just fall in your lap. RB needy/scared team sent me Goff and a 2020 3rd for Devonta Freeman...this is a 10 team SF league, so not quite as high value as a 12 team SF but either way I was ecstatic. I lost Luck this summer and was down to bare bones at QB.

12 team | PPR | 1QB
(Team 2)

Gave: Trubisky + Curtis Samuel + (x2) 2020 2nds
Got: Dak + Sammy

(2020 picks are projected: 1 early, 1 late)

Didn’t love giving up those picks but this team should be the favorite with a competent QB
I just lost Foles & Ben, wasn’t comfortable going forward with Trubisky lol

Team 4

Sent: Aaron Jones, 3 2020 1sts (1 for sure late, 2 projected mid to late)
Received: Saquon Barkley

Sent: 2020 1st, 2020 2nd (both mine)
Received: Stefon Diggs.

That leaves my "rebuild" team with 2 2020 firsts both look like they should fall in the 1-5 range.

12 team, PPR. I gave a 2020, 2nd (mid to late) and Trey Quinn for JJ Arcega-Whiteside.
