I am ok with the 1st trade, but that 2nd one? Yikes

You basically traded a 2nd round pick for a DST...
Value wise not ideal. But I only traded back 6-8 draft slots for a move that I think can give me a chance at significantly more points during weeks 14-16 than my current defense. My philosophy is build value during off season and throughout season, but I’ll give up minor pieces at trade deadline if it should increase my chances of championship.

Chubb by a lot in the 1st one.

I think it was a fine trade. Defenses are one of the best places to quietly pick up cheap points if you're a contender. Everyone writes off defenses because they are so hard to predict year to year, but they can be reasonably predicted within the context of the current season. People are willing to make deals for plug-in RBs/WRs that have little future beyond the current season, but not for defenses.

Pitt is averaging 3ppg more than an average fantasy defense, and almost 4ppg more than a low Def1. How much would it cost to get an extra 3.5ppg at another position? That's like upgrading Jamaal Williams to Josh Jacobs or Allen Robinson to DeAndre Hopkins, but a whole lot cheaper (thought obviously most likely only relevant to this season).

Made 2 trades for my team in sig, reigning 2x champ but fighting for a playoff spot due to some disappointing seasons out of Baker, OBJ, Allen, DJ, and Julio + Kelce (to a lesser degree)

Traded away T. Kelce + 2020 2nd
Received E. Engram, C. Kirk, 2020 3rd

Traded away J. Jones, 2020 2nd
Received A. Robinson, 2020 1st (currently 1.04)

Final trade of the year for Team 3

Gave: 2020 2nd (currently 2.03)
Got: Deebo Samuel

Immediately following the trade, a leaguemate commented “the trade deadline can’t come soon enough. You guys def set a record for most trades in one fantasy season”

God I hate this league lol

Acquired Barkley, a 2021 2nd and a 2020 3rd for Keenan Allen, Derrick Henry, Marlon Mack. This is a keep 9 format (no limits). Bit of an overpay but I have too many players and in this format there is extra value in consolidating in top players. Will make my cut down day easier anyway.

Love it. Are those 2nd and 3rds including FA? Those are pretty valuable as well in this situation
