Might be a bit too early. This sounds similar to Baker last year and I'm not too sure anymore...

Minshew has looked good though and I pray they don't go back to starting Foles

Just curious - by which stat? I am not disputing your statement, just was unaware he was having such a great season when compared to all rookie QBs and unsure which stat or stats he's dominating in compared to the field.

According to this article he has set some good records already though!

https://www.jacksonville.com/sports/201 ... erformance

First player in NFL history to throw for at least 13 touchdowns with two or fewer interceptions through a player’s first eight career games played.

Minshew joins Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota and Marc Bulger as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to post a passer rating of at least 95.0 through their first eight career games (min. 250 pass attempts).

Minshew also became the first Jaguars rookie to throw for at least three touchdowns in a single game in franchise history.

Think this is wayyyy to early to say you wouldn't trade him for anyone. I have him in my superflex league and I am obviously super pleased, but he has a long way to go before he is a top asset.

People aren't going to offer proper value for him. He's a good poach candidate still because his value is obviously still low based on some responses. I have him in a superflex where there is no limit on how long we can keep a player. He has been the anchor at qb for my team far out producing Trubisky or Baker. I still believe in Baker, but Tribs future is really shaky right now. Why would I trade away my best qb for anything else but a legit stud?

Baker set the record for passing touchdowns last year ar 27. Minshew is on pace for 32. The even more astonishing part is that he is on pace for 4 int. 32 td to 4 int as a rookie. That's just mind blowing considering the great qbs who have come through this league. I will put the disclaimer in, I'm not saying this will be the end result, but it's very impressive through 8 games to be on that pace

Oh I hear ya. Was not advocating selling him, but like you said you would need a stud to trade him. If I got offered an early first next year I would take it, but I doubt anyone offers that. I wouldn't sell for a late first in a superflex as he seems like a legit starter.

Kewl - thanks for clarifying! Obviously he is going to need to keep the job for that pace to continue, but it seems more possible now than it did back in Week II that is for sure.

I sold him in my SF league 3 weeks ago, gave Minshew/M Ingram/J Hill to get Kerryon/Royce/Gallup. Still feels like decent value and I was trying to bolster RB as I am very deep at QB - but guessing I could have gotten more now (and Kerryon injury obviously hurts).

There haven't been as many TD's, as the Jags have been pretty TD inefficient in the Red Zone but what Minshew is doing is similar to what Watson did in 2017.

I'll give props to Phaded for putting this guy on my radar

This was kind of obvious but offseason is a whole other story. Should be interesting to see what Foles does.

I lucked out in my SF QB3 - out goes Minshew and in comes Finley.

It's only a matter of time before the mustache is back.
Foles will do what Foles does.

Forgot to give props. It wasnt a very hard prediction to make (since I think most of us are pretty bearish on Foles) - but he deserves it nonetheless. 8-)
