Is anyone hanging on to Luck?

Just seeing if anyone is keeping him around just in case... He doesn't strike me as a guy who'll try to make a comeback, but you never know. A year off, and the competitive juices might just start flowing again.

Is anyone keeping him on their roster, and if so at what expense?

I have roster cut downs coming up next week, and keeping Luck would mean cutting a backup or fringe prospect to make room (Tannehill, Yeldon, Holyfield)

I'm keeping him for at least one year. I think at this point, without more information you have to. I can easily see Luck coming back if and when he is completely healthy.

He’s not coming back. He will wake up everyday with some degree of pain and he with thank himself for retiring now and not dealing his body another 10 years of abuse.

I'd hold if your roster is deep enough to allow it. I'd easily keep him over the 3 mentioned.

I bought on the super cheap today, just in case.

I agree, he’s done

I certainly wouldn't make ANY sacrifices for him on my rosters, if they are deep enough where I have practice squad fliers hanging around, sure.. but otherwise, no ..

..and it's mainly because of the timing, who the hell quits 12 days before a season starts anyway, hell its not even 2 weeks notice. :wtf:

I think he's done, but I'm hanging on to him in the one Superflex where I have him. Bought him for essentially three firsts this offseason, gotta hold onto any chance that someone sends me something of value for him.

While I’m confident he’s done, you make a good point. There is a fool in every league so I’d wait to see if someone makes an offer unless you’re right up against cuts.

3 firsts?? Damn. I’m sry.
I’m holding as well. I feel he’s done but.. I. Just... can’t, let go..... 😔

100% agree.

This isn't a matter of "Oh, well I just need a year off to recharge." It's a matter of someone not being able to enjoy the rest of their life because they're always in pain. I would sell for whatever I can get to that one guy in the league who's willing to hold Luck for the next 3-4 years. The last injury must've been pretty serious for him to call it quits.

Nobody really knows what will happen with Luck. It seems it was the mental and emotional side of things as much as the physical. He may travel for a few years, and be feeling healthy and get that competitive itch again. The guy loved football and there may come a time when he feels in the right state physically and mentally to come back. Nobody knows. If you have a deep roster in a SF league, I would not blame you for holding him. I've held guys like Justin Watson for a year and a half, I think Luck is worth holding in SF. He's not yet 30, so if in a few years he decides to play again, he's still be an elite option.

I dropped him in both of my leagues. Neither are superflex...and neither can I spare wasted roster space

Completely agree, in Superflex/2 QB leagues he's worth rostering on the off chance he comes back.

I mean... QBs like Mason Rudolph and Gardner freaking Minshaw are being held there and it's a hell of a lot more likely that Luck becomes a valued fantasy asset than pretty much any other QB lotto pick out there.

I think I’m going to hold in the league in my signature. It’s a SF and after practice squad players there are 420 guys rostered. Hopefully someone will send any offer.
