Obviously Duke stands to benefit the most from Lamar's injury but I'm looking to try to capitalize on the injury and grab a RB from houston. Who will get Carrie's if Lamar is out?

Based on tonight's snaps, Higdon appears to be ahead of Crockett. But Higdon didn't do much with the opportunity, so :?.

Put a gun to my head, I'll pick Higdon. I've leaned toward him since before Foreman was cut. But I don't feel strongly about it. Crockett looks the part, but has been a chronic fumbler (lost one tonight, in fact), and I think Higdon is slightly better on passings downs.

Jay Ajayi! Please, Houston, make the call. He’s waiting.

He's done. He can't pass physicals.

I am thinking this is terrible for Duke. Houston are staked. Here comes a trade for a stud RB...

Shady for a 5th? AD returning to Texas? Man, did Foreman blow a prime opportunity.

Exactly. Ajayi literally has no cartilage left in his knees. If he ever plays in the NFL again, it won't be for more than a couple games.

Has he failed any team physicals? I don’t remember hearing that, but I don’t know. I do remember he was fully cleared by Dr. Andrews back in July.

On a side note I hate to see this happen in a preseason game.

Wonder if they now change their stance on not trading for Gordon....

I have Ajayi and the only news I’ve heard is that he has been fully cleared by dr Andrews.

I figure it’s Ajayi cause he’ll be cheap, and they can draft a RB next yeah. They could trade for Gordon (not sure about Texas cap space to sign Gordon) as well.

Duke can’t carry the load and the other backs on the roster can’t either. If they want to win this year, they need to make a move.

I love the Ajayi plug, I honestly thought he was dead

Ajayi would make a ton of sense, no way Duke is a 250-touch guy in Houston.

Left field- Philip Lindsay.... for a young defensive player. Make sense doesnt it?

Houston really shouldn't be interested in spending top long term dollar on an RB like Gordon when

- they've already paid a probable 3rd for Duke and his contract
- second contracts are looming for several valued players
- they need money saved in the warchest to splurge on the O-line next offseason

Plus Watson's second contract in a few years should break the bank.

Gordon is looking for elite, guaranteed, long term money, at a replaceable position. He shouldn't get it from Houston. He might not be able to get it from any team that isn't strictly rebuilding.
