Ian Thomas

Postby SkillsPino » Sat Aug 24, 2019 12:04 pm

I drafted Ian Thomas last year and he performed pretty well down the stretch with Olsen out. I have to decide if I'll roster him this year (and guarantee him to be on my roster for 2 years). Anyone think he is a decent dynasty stash? Cam seems to be on the decline, but potentially a good situation for him with Olsen not having too much left.

Thoughts?

Big fan of Thomas. He flashed when Olsen went down last year. Won’t take long until he’s a weekly TE1.

Agreed. Dont expect Olsen to last the entire season.

There are about 12-14 TEs I'd rather have than Ian Thomas. I never see him being a consistent mid-tier TE1, but I do see a few back-end TE1/high-TE2 seasons in his future.

For someone like me who owns Olsen he is a must. The clear #2 who flashed some upside. However I don’t think we could possibly just expect him to step in and perform like Olsen has. Perhaps a back end TE1?

I think Thomas is an okay stash. But right now, I don't think he has fantasy difference-making upside. The tape shows me most safeties sticking to him in man-coverage.
