I doubt Gio is back next year. Likely prices himself out of Cincinnati
Which may be good for Gio stock as well...tough call. I think I might lean toward Gio based on the probability that he ends up somewhere else next year...but it’s certainly a gamble.

Gio turns 28 in a couple months, 29 next season. He’s kinda running out of time. May be better to go with the youthful option. Although Rodney probably has more wear with his injury history...who knows

Was not expecting him to look like Barry Saunders in the open field in his first NFL start back from injury. For a big dude sure looks good in the passing game. Wish I had more shares!

In all fairness...maybe there’s a Barry Saunders out there he watched in college. Like Joe Montanya.

"Maybe we will take you more seriously if you learn how to quote right on these forums"

Speak for your self, no need to speak for "we"

"Anyway Jacobs is the better talent now and in the future" have you watched his tape? or have "we" not watched it? have you seen him try and duke a safety and literally not move horizontally one degree? and run straight into him? he literally has the lateral quickness of a rock.

Anyway what ever you know, or don't, Weknownothing86- try thinking for yourself and stop quoting 'We'

I'll second it. I've also never heard of anyone try and "duke" a safety. If you could "duke" a safety, however, I think Barry Saunders would be one of the best at it.

I find the handcuff game is a value losing proposition in dynasty.

Until it isnt. I find the only place ill get my handcuff, if there is a clear one, is in dynasty.

In my league, the other owns always draft RB position and rarely trade them. I am normally drafting in 9-12, so I rarely even get to draft a RB. So I have to live off backups that move up to starting positions to survive.

I have said, so what I will just stock up WR and someone will have to trade a RB for one of my WR. But it doesn't happen. I am just stuck with like 10 WR.

Every year I do have like 3 of the top 12 WR. And it keeps my team always as one of the top 4. But I need to play the backup RB lottery to win my championship or else I can't win.

Hence I have Anderson.

Each there own. I’ll take a more talented/in a better situation backup for a player that I don’t own rather than chase after the backups of the guys that I do own. If it lines up I get a handcuff, great. But I’m not going anywhere out of my way for one. Situation changes fast.

Cuffing your own guys insulates you from disaster and keeps you alive. Cuffing other people's guys gives you a shot at being a dominant team. If my RB1 goes down and I have his back-up, I likely maintain about 80-90% of his production. So if I have a good team, I remain in contention. If my RB1 stays up though, and my handcuff to someone else's top guy steps in, well then I'm really cooking. Both cuffs may score the same points, but except in truly distorted leagues you need things to break right for you to win it all.
You will also tend to pay less because your subjective 'need' for the handcuff to your guy often distorts how both you and a seller may value him.
