My take as well.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 9:47 pmHe's got a good few massive seasons left in him, IMO. You don't trade him unless you get proper value. If you are any sort of contender, it's not really in your interest to move him for anything less than how you value him, as he is a true difference maker, and tends to be at his best late in the year (except for week 16 this year, damn! LOL).Lord_Varys wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 8:45 am Massive internal debate right now ... Is he a sell high? Or a ride and die? Everyone saying his value will never be higher and that he won't last, but why won't he last? Champions aren't made from selling high end RB1s in their prime, surely. I would love to hear from someone with a strong opinion. I just think this guy is a freak and I don't know why he has to hit a wall when he turns 28. This was the first season in the NFL when he carried a full load.
If you're doing a total rebuild, by all means sell because his price is sky high and he will win you some games next year.
If you're any sort of contender I hang on.

Re: Derrick Henry? What gives??
He's a Top 5 RB in the NFL right now, but because he's not 21 or 22, he won't be one in dynasty rankings. He's an RB1 moving forward regardless of format.pvillebiker wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 10:08 am This is surely naive, but Henry's team 1st and honest deflection of all his well-earned praise suggest to me that he won't rake the team over the coals for $$. Sure he'll want and likely get big $$ from the Titans, but this one feels different than the other recent elite RB contracts - Zeke, DJ and even Gurley.
BTW - how does DLF have Henry as RB14 in current dynasty rankings? Not like he snuck up on anybody.
Re: Derrick Henry? What gives??
14 is very low but a lot of his placement comes from the tendency of FA RBs to have significant productions drops combined with this really being his only year of sustained production. Probably should be more around 7-9. As I would still take Cook, kamara chubb, CMC, Bark, and zeke over him fairly easilyCameron Giles wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 6:32 amHe's a Top 5 RB in the NFL right now, but because he's not 21 or 22, he won't be one in dynasty rankings. If you were offered 1.06 and 1.07 (roughly Dobbins/Etienne and Akers), and you owned a contending team, would you take it?

Derrick Henry's Extension
4 years, 50M with 25.5M guarenteed. Makes him the 5th highest paid RB annually, behind CMC, Zeke, Bell & DJ.
Curious to see the details as to when Tenn has an out.

Pop goes the Darryton Evans bubble
Re: Derrick Henry's Extension
I like it. Still not that much money compared to so many other positions. Good to get that ahead of a lot of free agents & more rookies next year.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Re: Derrick Henry's Extension
Wonder if this means they will manage his touches a little more then. I think this is a nice opportunity to maybe buy Evans, though with people just paying for him in rookie drafts not sure if you can really trade him for less than the value he was drafted for

As a guy with Henry on his roster (I hate saying "owner" of these players, anyone have a better suggestion for language) I love this. I think his value would have dropped literally anywhere else he went.
