He's coming back soon and I'll have to decide what to do with him. I stashed him in my IR a while ago, but I don't really know anything about him. Is he someone worth keeping around? Does he have a lot of potential?

They took him 2nd round last year, I stashed him on taxi but put him on IR as well to gain another spot there. I started 1-6 despite being 6th in points so I'm probably going to do my very best to hold him. Big guy and good speed, but was d2 so probably a project. Still I think he could supplant Burton down the road, but don't think it will be at least until next year. go watch his college tape, it's outrageous, really does look like a man among boys.

He's not going to get enough volume to be fantasy relevant when he returns. He'll essentially be what Burton was to Ertz in Philadelphia. Your best hope is that he's good on low volume and some team pays him to be their starter in two years. But, to me that's a while to hold on a big if.

I’m bullish on Shaheen. Outside of Sunday’s outburst, Burton hasn’t been particularly impressive. Shaheen is a much better blocker and should see most of the snaps inside the 10. He’s a great buy-low right now. Might even be on waivers in some leagues.

I like the offense scheme better in CHI now and he is an interesting prospect, he's one of those guys that probably will hang around my rosters for quite sometime ... the quickest deterrent for me would be if CHI doesn't resign him after his rookie contract, that would probably make me re-evaluate at year 4. Slap a google alert on him, read about him daily, heh .. the things we do.

In a TE super premium league (1.5 ppr, .15 pts/yard receiving) a guy has been badgering me all season about him. He’s offered to switch 1sts with me (I’m currently top 3 and he would be next 3) and then also send a late 2nd. My team is a little uncertain with Connor carrying me heavily. I’m thinking I’ll decline... in this league TE’s are like gold. Thoughts?

Has great upside, but not going to do much short term. Stash him if you can afford the roster spot, but I can understand letting him go if you need space.

I think, as others have said, he’ll get some impressive looks in the red zone. He looked very good before the injury. I’ve got him stashed just for the heck of it.

He's better than Burton, that's for sure.

Is he worth anything going forward?

I know Burton in the starting TE in CHI for the foreseeable future. They paid him a good amount to come in and be the starter, so they will roll with him going forward. I picked up Shaheen right after our rookie/ FA draft last year and placed him on taxi and he has been there ever since (wanted to see how everything would shake out with Burton/ Shaheen). With him being a 2nd year player, he is not eligible for my taxi squad after the year.

I recently picked up Darrell Williams after the Hunt news, because I read some positive reports on him, plus figured it wouldn’t hurt anything to do so even if he doesn’t amount to anything, because he can be placed on the taxi. I think Shaheen is my best drop candidate on my taxi squad though. I don’t want to drop any others though, but I could activate Josh Adams to open a spot. But I kind of rather keep him there with my current RB options.

Shaheen worth keeping?

You can drop Shaheen. At this point there's just no indication Nagy has any use for him. He was a previous regime's draft pick, and even Braunecker and Sims have gotten more playing time this year than Shaheen.\

edit: Scratch this. I didn't know Shaheen's been on IR.

This is a bit misleading considering he’s only been on the active roster for 1 game this year. By the same commentary I could say he has not only a 100% catch rate when targeted in the end zone but also a 100% catch rate overall! Let’s just not talk about him only having 1 Target this year (on a 2 pt conversion). Just razing you...

He is intriguing to me. Burton hasn’t exactly lit it up, and he’s a known pass catching TE (not a blocker). Shaheen will probably be on the field just as much and could also be a red zone mismatch. In std TE leagues he is probably droppable, but in TE premium he’s definitely worth holding onto.
