Giants will probably wind up with a top 5 pick in a draft filled with top end QB talent after reaching for Jones this year. Typical Giants

He's already catching balls again today.

Golden tate facing a 4 game suspension. So 300 targets for barkley this year sound about right?

Sterling Shepard, what are yout thoughts

Postby Wizard » Sat Aug 10, 2019 11:52 am

There haven't been many threads about Sterling Shepard since the draft. What are your thought about him now that NY did not draft a WR and supposedly got their replacement for Eli. Is he a WR1 now? Will he turn into one once Eli is gone. I'm thinking about trading for him but for some reason he just doesn't excite me very much, maybe because NY has been such a sh*t show recently. Owner wants Drake for him but I don't know if he's worth Drake. What are your thoughts on Sterling Shepard?
QB -Tom Brady, Nick Foles Deshaun Watson

RB - Kenyan Drake, Darrius Guise, Tevin Coleman, Leonard Fournett, Kareem Hunt, Justin Jackson, Jaylen Samuels, Carlos Hyde, Duke Johnson Jr., Jordan Wilkins, CJ Anderson, Chris Warren,

WR - Davante Adams , T.Y. Hilton, Courtland Sutton, Devin Funchess, Doug Baldwin, Michael Crabtree, Antonio Callaway, J’Mon Moore, Dylan Cantrell, Keith Kirkwood, James Richie

TE - Zach Ertz, Harris Demetrius, Hayden Hurst

The WR1 on his own team? Sure - for now.
However, I expect two things that will hinder his production:

a) The offense sucking
b) Giants drafting a WR early-ish next year

I would expect WR3-4 type production this year if he can stay healthy.

I would trade Drake for him.

I would trade Drake for him. Beyond that, he will have his hard to predict good games, but you could do worse as a WR3/flex type.

This is the tell year for Shepard. If he's ever going to be anything more than sidekick or supporting staff, he'll surely get his chance right out of the gate. The Giants seem to want to give him at least co-WR1 opportunity.

I personally think he's criminally underrated (WR40 in current mizelle ADP), since he's likely to return at least top 24 PPR production this year, on volume alone.

I'd easily move Drake for Shepard, but I'm not a Drake believer. Betting Ballage pushes for an even split or better, and don't forget about the underdog, Gaskin. That guy's gonna have his day sooner or later.

This right here, by wr1 do you mean on his team, then by default yes, do you mean fantasy wise, god no he’s more a 3/4 albeit a pretty good one at that

I don't think Shepard is even clearly the WR1 on his own team. They have Golden Tate who has proven more and might be a better underneath target fit for Manning's decrepit arm.
