If I own AJ and could afford to ship him off, I'd probably do it. The injuries seem to be becoming a more common occurrence for the guy.

compensation injury after compensation injury. he's getting older so he heals slower. if im an owner im selling with the spin that he'll only miss a game or two, contending or rebuilding, it don't matter, his value is still high enough to cash out. i dont doubt his work ethic, but i think the trend is now pointing down for him. as a boyd owner im a little sad since boyd was better with green on the field.

Was really liking the Bengals as a big time bounce back candidate for fantasy, especially without that loser Marvin Lewis there anymore. This puts a bit of a damper on that. I could see Green being plagued by this all season. Definite downgrade for Dalton. :(

How do you figure torn ankle ligaments reduce the likelihood of tearing an ACL?

I was just giving this some more thought this morning - and wondering just how "good" Zac Taylor's scheme would need to be to get them around the hand of cards they're now holding - especially in terms of the O-line. I could see Mixon getting there on volume, but the fact remains that this offense is going to have trouble moving the ball if AJG isn't there - scoring chances will be limited, though figure Mixon gets the highest % of looks on the team when in goal-to-go.

It would be one thing if ZT was coming in to run the McVeigh system with a good offensive line - or say, a top-5 one like the Rams have. Instead though, he has been gifted a bottom-5 OL from last year - which has now actually gotten worse thanks to these injuries.

It's going to be another year of tough sledding in Cincy...

As a Mixon owner, I have a baaaaaaaaaaaaaad feeling he’s going to get injured. Cincy seems snake bit this year already.

Same here. He's been sitting on my trade block & I've been shopping him since the 2016 offseason. No one's wanted him so he'll ride out on my team. Hopefully I can get at least a half of a year of classic AJG production this year.

Cincinnati will be a bottom 5 team this year without a doubt. Both Boyd and Mixon should be downgraded with AJGs injury. As an aside, I’ve been low on AJG for a while and think he is experiencing a career arc similar to Dez at this point. Have not been buying him anywhere.

Everyone downgrading the other 2 like AJG just suffered a career ending injury. I understand the concern, but unless he suffers a setback, he should be back to form by midseason

I will say his dynasty value has plummeted

I mean for the rest of camp, he can't really sustain an injury like that. It's the silver lining. He's a vet, and misses training camp, but now at least he doesn't suffer a season ending injury 2 weeks before the season.

But now instead of training, hes rehabbing. Which for someone like Green can lead to even more injuries. There is no silver lining to tearing ligaments in your ankle.

Yeah, my point was, when he first went down, the thought is, he might be done for the year. Now it appears he will be ready for near the start of the year, which is a lot better than what could have been. Now he won't suffer an injury that's worse. At least I know I'll have AJG to put in my lineup at some point, now. It was looking like that might not be the case.

Just read through this post and I can't believe nobody mentioned Hue Jackson!! The Bengals 2018 season went right into the toilet between weeks 9-12 when they lost AJG, lost Dalton and gained Hue Jackson.

I don't think any fantasy stats after week 9 of last season can really be used for proof or extrapolation of Boyd's or any other Bengal's future.
