Just guessing at the contract values but I feel like it's pretty accurate with what others might estimate.

Injury free contract: 4 years 40 million (10 million a year)

Injured season contract: 2 years 12 million (6 million a year)

It's a dangerous games elite RBs play if they play without getting locked up

Josina Anderson reported that "one team had preliminary trade talks with the Chargers" regarding Gordon.

Doubt there's anything real here, but who knows.

Chargers reportedly asking for a "1st and a 5th" in return, if this is true I think they don't have any real intentions of trading him and are just playing hardball with him. Obviously no one is giving up a 1st round pick for him and the Chargers know it.

Well one guy in Houston might...

Didn't the Browns initially ask for 2 or 3 firsts? They traded him for a lot less. I'm sure the Chargers "asked" for that, but they won't get it.

I would think they will be lucky to get a 2nd from someone.

Yeah, but I bet they would take a 3rd. They aren't stupid. There are RB's better than Gordon as prospects in next years draft, who will be on rookie deals, so they know that is way too, much. I don't see that as a serious demand, and I'm sure they are open to a counter.

Who's desperate to add a playmaker in the backfield because they want to tske the next step?

Gotta think Tampa would be one team. Arians ain't getting younger and they need to help Winston. That offence would be pretty dynamic.

Trouble is i think they are close to the cap.

The only teams that have somewhat enough space and a "somewhat" need at RB are:

Dolphins - Adding a big $ RB would be dumb but its the Dolphins
Texans ' But they already traded for two RB so doubtful
Niners - Maybe flip Coleman and a pick for Gordon?
Chiefs - Doubtful with that backfield and adding Shady
Packers - My dark horse team. Im not convinced they are satisfied with that backfield. But Packers have least space @ around 11 million

Also Chiefs- they’re not trading him to a division rival.

I just don't see a team that has both the need and cap situation to be interested in him.

AFC East:
Bills only one it maybe makes sense, but I think they are comfortable with their backfield and would rather draft an RB than acquire a big money vet.

AFC North:
No one is taking him

AFC South:
Texans are only ones that fit, and they can't give up anymore assets

AFC West:
Chargers won't trade him in division

NFC East:
All 4 teams are set at RB

NFC North:
Packers maybe, but not their style and Jones is solid and way cheaper

NFC South:
TB probably the best fit in the league as far as need/lack of talent wise, but very squeezed on the cap

NFC West:
SF only candidate, but have multiple options and have spent a lot of money on the RB position last 2 offseasons

All unmentioned teams have no need in my opinion.

The raiders, and given that theyre in full rebuild mode I can see them trading to there even if they are on the same division
