Example of improper deductive reasoning:

Everyone who eats carrots is a quarterback.
John eats carrots.
Therefore, John is a quarterback.
Not to sidetrack the thread, but that seems like perfectly sound deductive reasoning to me.

If it was something like this, then I could see the problem:

All quarterbacks eat carrots.
John eats carrots.
Therefore, John is a quarterback.

But as it’s written above, it would be entirely rational to assume John is a quarterback.
Correct.

Thanks for catching the error in how it was written. :)

McVay says Gurley will not be on a snap count for week 1. Looking forward to finally finding out the answer to the biggest question that been hanging over the entire offseason. Obviously it won’t be entirely answered in one game, but we'll finally get something tangible to talk about.

Gonna be interesting.

If he gets 25 carries, the doubters are gonna be saying he’s gonna break down like last year anyways though. Likewise if he’s kept down to 12, supporters might say they are keeping him fresh for fantasy/real playoffs?

I didn’t have Gurley or any need to pursue him in any keeper/dynasty formats, and I went zero RB in my two redrafts. Kinda glad I didn’t have to think too hard on this one haha

I think they play him as normal until the game is out of reach then shut him down, Alabama style. After a 15 point lead I expect Gurley to get benched unless the game gets closer

I am curious to see what this thread looks like mid season.

I honestly have no idea what the Anti-Gurley side is on about. He had 1 bad week and kind of bleep you in the playoffs week 14 and 16 but the rams had everything all locked up then.

His playoff performance was obviously quite lackluster but the man has been an absolute workhouse the last few years it seems he ran out of steam a bit. I gotta assume that's the first time Gurley has been involved in a 22 week season or 26 if you count pretty season.

Certainly never did anything like that in Georgian and early in his career they weren't making long playoff runs. Seems more like a conditioning issue than anything else.

The arthritis isn't like you grandma's arthritis where she limps around. It's a scary work but is really just pain and will be a problem when he retires but for right now it can more or less be ignored by fantasy owners.

Henderson was drafted in the 3rd not exactly crazy capital and he can never be a bellcow doesn't have the build, hes9an electric homerun hitter they felt wouldn't be there in the 4th. Don't over think it.

Gurley's season may or may not be identical to last years, that's life. But it won't be because of any of the perceived issues.

How much more clear can everyone be? His knee is fine.
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
RB -NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)JTaylor(IND)Gurley(ATL)
WR -DHopkins(ARI)ACooper(DAL)CGodwin(TB)OBJ(CLE)
TE - HHenry(SD)DGoeddart(PHI)
K - Zurlien(LAR)Crosby(GB)
Def - ARI DAL

Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players don't take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd-year players that were drafted

Finally, people have been taking rumors and really running with them this off-season. The plane trip one was my favorite

That did make me laugh, nearly the entire starting lineup on both sides of the ball must have arthritic knees too.
